Turbine Duke v2 P3D out

Lol - good thing devs don't make us pay for new copies when we wreck the planes

Gawd, I'd be broke, living in a cardboard box, if that were the case.

The Garmin Trainer is now v5 .. is that what you used ... or the old Trainer.

You will still need the old Trainer. The GTN 750 installer will give you a download link for the old Trainer. I heard they might upgrade the GTN 750 to use the new trainer but nothing is committed yet. However, you can use the database (worldwide terrain and new navdata) from the new trainer and copy it over to the old trainer.

Ok,

Thanks for the follow up answers.

Sounds good.

If the Garmin trainer is installed for FSX + RA Duke v2 will the same trainer be used for the P3Dv2 + RA Duke V2 ?

Yeah it's the same trainer, but there's a seperate F1 P3D License....of course

I notice:

If the RealAir DukeV2 in P3Dv2.5 (hot fix) is cold and dark .. then BAT ON .. both engines do an autostart.

This does not happen in FSX .. there I get to manually start each engine .... which is what to do.

Edit:

P3D default flight starts with a jet aircraft ... engines running.

I tested a second time and noticed that the RA Duke v2 (P3Dv2.5 hotfix) cold and dark option leaves the Ignition switches in AUTO and the START switches ON after shutdown.

So, BAT ON gives a two engine autostart.

The cold and dark option should turn the ignition and start switches off .............

The GTN 750 was more then the Turbine Duke, but after doing my first full on flight last night from EGJJ -EGGW with SID and STAR and using the vertical decent page I have to say this is stunning.

Not cheap but together there something special.

The manuals/checklist are not right but just done my own checklist.

Happy days.

My goodness Craig, can't you take a joke?

Smile! It's contagious!

Yes I can definitely!    .... but you used a "rolls eyes" emoticon, which isn't normally used straight after a joke

Blue skies and no hard feelings!

P3D default flight starts with a jet aircraft ... engines running.

You might want to change that. When I used P3D 2.3 with the "straight to F22 with engines running" startup sequence, it caused problems with engine shutdown when I used the Quality Wings BAe 146. This might be a similar glitch. I have set up P3D 2.4 to load the main menu on startup......

In the Options/Settings/General dialogue box, select the Show Scenario Startup Screen check box, and then click "OK".

In FSX I start with engins running flight ... all the time.

And RADukeV2 (FSX) loads cold and dark.

And I can go through the engine start checklist ok. No Autostart.

RADukeV2 (P3D) should work the same way.

Edit:

I do not have QW on my PC to test .. removed them long ago.

But I do have iFly737NG which loads cold and dark (iFly Option item) ... and I can go thru a normal checklist ... not any autostart.

You may have a problem with QW.

I do not have a problem with the Quality Wings 146 anymore, Vaughan.

I don't see this on my end.  Once in a while P3D default flights affect addons I've noticed.  What plane is your default?  I've got the retro mooney no g1000 engines on.  RA Duke is set to C+D and when I flip the battery switch the engines don't start...  just get electrical power like normal.

The P3D default aircraft is the LM F22 Raptor (engines running).

You had the same when you did a full P3D v2.5 install.

I assumed the RADuke V2 (P3Dv2) was tested using the default P3D startup flight (situation).

I did not see any cautions in the manual or config manager about having to do any special start up procedures in the sim before selecting the Duke.

The RADuke config just selects Cold and dark or engines running before you start the sim.

That is what I have done with the FSX DukeV2 ... and my startup flight there is the FSX Trike .. engines running ... and no problem with the Duke's cold and dark there.

Also, the iFly737NG has no problem with its cold and dark flight ... with the LM F22 as the start up flight.
