FS2CREW: QUALITYWINGS 787

I am not sure if this is a QW issue or FS2Crew. I updated to version 1.3 and subsequently also bought the FS2Crew add-on. What I have noticed is that the frame rates drop significantly with the FS2Crew panel open. I get anywhere from 40 to 50 FPS without the panel and once I turn the Panel on, the frame rates drop to below 15 and causes heavy stuttering. So at the moment I cannot use the FS2Crew add-on with this aircraft. Any suggestions?

We have an update incoming... We added a couple more voice set options (US and EU) that do NOT use the headset filter effect. UK already does not use the headset filter. Some people just wanted regular voices, so we added the choice for you. Hi Avsim FS2Crew Forum Myself and another flight simmer have been having problems with FS2Crew with the QW 787. On some flights (now and again) the Panel Switch (lower bottom left of the screen) starts to flicker, If you try to re-size it the sim crashes to the desktop. On other times when you have messages running on the top of the screen the green bar will begin to flicker, if you again try to resize it the sim again crash to the desktop However, I have just completed 2 flights with no flickering issue with FS2Crew, but my fellow simmer has completed 3 flights in the QW 787 and the sim crashed twice. Takeoff out of CYYZ today, clean install of both the QW 787 and FS2Crew, so I know they're both fully up-to-date. OAT was 14*C (if that makes a difference). Even prior to departure, he was cycling the Aft Electronics Cooling Fan on and off constantly and would not let me turn on either Electronics cooling or the Bulk Cargo Heat. While not a major issue, it's just annoying to see the EICAS memos flashing constantly.

Hi Bryan, I just took the opportunity to purchase the FS2Crew for the QW 787 today. Order was completed successfully however when I look into the order details and the download files, there's 2 identical links provided for FS2Crew_QW787.zip and both have the same size (51Mb) The title above it reads Voice and Button. Which one is which? A bit confused here...😕 Thanks Mark

Hi Guys, Just purchased the said item and to be totally honest with you,i am very disappointed with it all. Its definatly not up to the usual standard for FS2 Crew as with the 737 and 777,cant comment on the 747 because i dont own that. First off the voices sound a little robotic and dont sound to freindly to say the least,unlike the others (737,777). If you request anything from the flight attendents she says she will be up in a minute with requested item but never arrives. Hope these issues can be resolved in a further update,it all seems like a rush job to me to get it relased. With Thanks Gary Jones

Hello The safety briefing mentions emergency exits on the main deck and the upper deck. Last time I looked the 787 didn't have 2 decks. Jonathan

I have uploaded my Captains only flows and checklists for the QW787 to the Avsim Library. Should be available tomorrow. File also includes tabs for all other FS2Crew aircraft plus UGCX.

I have updated the service pacs and have explored numerous topics to find out why the FS2 crew is not showing up in the Captain FMS. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Bryan, Just done a long haul in the B787 and the first officer will not touch the center fuel tanks even though they had fuel in them. I had to manually turn them on and off myself,button control. Also a little bit more interaction with the passengers during a long haul would make it a little more realistic. With Thanks Gary Jones.

Hello - wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'm able to run P3D with FS2Crew installed and the QualityWings 787, however when I try to load another plane, or scenario that uses another plane, P3D crashes to the desktop. I've also noticed that after I crash the plane, P3D freezes and will eventually crash to the desktop and the scenario is not reloaded. I have other add-ons that I've uninstalled one at a time and the problem only goes away when I uninstall FS2Crew. Thanks.

Problem - No response to me speaking the commands. Message in green bar at top of screen says PF off Using FS2crew QW787 for the first time. The microphone is responding to me speaking in windows and P3D. So I know the microphone is working Input microphone is set to Oulus Rift S and Oculus headphones - all appear to be working ok All downloaded setup OK, went through windows to setup voice recognition, setup and enabled in 787 all ok Not using VR just normal view with oculus rift s microphone and headphones as I intend to use VR in the future with FS2crew Any help or suggestions as to what to do to gratefully received

Hello - I searched but could not find anything related to this so here goes... I don't know if I'm missing something or if this even makes sense, but while we are able to skip ahead, it seems the time still counts down the same. Would it make sense to have to time skip ahead as well when we skip procedures and checklists. For example, if I skip the preflight procedure, checklist, and boarding, can the clock go down to +15 minutes and have the loadsheet arrive without waiting? Thanks!

Not sure if this is something I'm doing wrong or a possible bug. The Panel Switcher (PS) window that pops up has options to quickly switch camera viewpoints. The FO (first officer) jumps to the throttle. The THR (throttle) jumps to the overhead. The CPT and OVH both show a zoomed in window view. I have ChasePlane, but did not have it active at the time. With the Honeycomb flight yoke, which is awesome I might add, you are able to set up flip switches that act as toggles. For example, down is off and up is on. In order to do this for the FS2Crew main panel toggle, I'm checking the variable, "A:PANEL AUTO FEATHER SWITCH:1, Bool" to see if it's enable/disabled and do the corresponding action/ enable/disable based on the state. This does not work, so I'm wondering if FS2Crew is not actually setting that variable, but just overriding the functionality. Is there a specific FS2Crew variable that will tell me tell if it is active or not so that the switch can properly toggle only when the condition is correct. For example, …

It's possible to click the "Play Brief" button multiple times, and it will play multiple times. There needs to be a check for whether the brief is already playing. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to "cancel/stop" a brief once it starts. I clicked "Play Brief" thinking it would toggle the brief, but is just played multiple times instead.

This isn't just for 787 but that's what I'm using at the moment. Is it possible to put a pause button on the preflight screen to stop the counter (and associated events). If I'm using GSX and refuelling is taking longer - or I was late to start boarding etc, it would make it a lot more realistic where I won't have the cabin manager telling me we are ready to go and we haven't even started boarding yet.

I have notice with the 787 fs2crew 1.2 sometimes f/o forgets to turn on the R/circular Fan and when he does the runway entry proceedure he doesn't turn off the taxi turn lights when the runway lights are on the said aircraft. I notice when i come in to land he turns on taxi lights before touch down. I notice also he does not turn the wing lights on also upon startup, Are these problems or do i need to react in doing those tasks.

hi. i the last change log and in the fs2crew settings it says that the fo will press nd once checklist is complete... why nd?? my fo opens the checklist on the right cdu and should press "CDU" when checklist is done. its not happening... plus after i open fs2crew window. the sim is laggy.. i have done various tests and when i close the window the sim is gaining back 10-15 fps.. bringing the window back takes these 10-15 fps away. never happend before with fs2crew products. thanks

787 Drivers: So I just coded in a new change to FS2Crew for the 787... I modified the "what do do after the checklist is complete" config option so now when the checklist is complete, the FO will press "ND", but he will also press CDU Left and Right button in the FMS to close the ECL if they're in the FMC screens. Remember you can get the ECL in FMC screen if the ECL is "already" displayed in the FMC when you call for the checklist. I having a problem with voice control... Everything starts off ok but after a period of time the voice activations stops working... I have to go into cfg enable button and then enable voice and everything is back to normal.. Sometime this last for a few commands then I have to complete the whole process again... Sometimes its fine for the remainder of the flight Thanks Andrew

I installed thev RAAS professional and it works in the PMDG 747 for P3DV5. But not in the QW787. Under ADDON tab in P3D, RAAS shows up in the pull own menu when flying the 747, but not in the QW787. How do I get RAAS working for the QW787?
