The RXP GNS 530W/430W V2 is compatible with some of the database files included in the GTN Trainer: - The Aviation database: worldwide.bin for the GNS 006-d0170-00.bin for the GTN (v6.1.1 for example) - The Base map: bmap.bin for both trainers Should you want to try other database files, we suggest you first make a backup of the existing files. Then you can either choose to overwrite the files, which you can restore with the backup later if needed. Otherwise, you can configure the GNS to use a different DB folder (documented in the user's manual). Disclaimer: the technical information in this post does not grant you any other right than Garmin's…

Windows Defender detected "Trojan:Win32/Azden.A!cl" in "rxpGNS-530-XPL.exe" and quarantined it, saying it is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker. Defender recommends removal. Is there a problem with it, or is this a false alarm?

You might be interested in these new features: Added flight plan export for Reality XP GTN and GNS devices in the "Export Flight Plan to other Formats" menu. See here in the manual: FPL (Reality XP Garmin GNS), GFP (Reality XP Garmin GTN) and Export Sub-Menu. Added option to save Garmin flight plans with user defined waypoints to avoid locked waypoints on AIRAC cycle mismatch. This works best on the GNS. See dialog Options on tab Flight Plan and here in the online manual: Notes about the Garmin Formats GFP and FPL. See here for the announcement on my home page. Alex

Hello, I’m considering buying a GTN 750 License to use with X-Plane 11 (Windows 10), and would love to have an external LCD (touchscreen) to go along with it (and to mount on my home-made-in-progress panel). I watched a couple of online videos, and I noticed that the aspect ratio of the screens (especially on this one from @basementflyguy) looks odd. He even mentions it. Which screen do you recommend so it looks ok? I don’t mind if it’s 7, 9, or 10 inches, as long as it doesn’t look distorted. Thanks in advance,

PRECISION FLIGHT CONTROLS (PFC) AND RYAN AEROSPACE (AUSTRALIA) ACHIEVE FAA APPROVAL / CERTIFICATION FOR BELL 206 / BELL 407 HELICOPTER SIMULATOR A joint venture between Precision Flight Controls (PFC) and Ryan Aerospace (Australia) has seen the development of a new, cost-effective helicopter simulator which has just received certification under Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) rules as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD). The device is reconfigurable between the Bell 206 and Bell 407 but can also be used as a generic rotary wing training aircraft. The new helicopter simulator was launched almost a year ago at I/ITSEC, the world’s largest military training an…

I'd like to thank Avsim, and Marlon Carter, for their thorough review: Overall, Reality XP has done an outstanding job in bringing these units to the FSX, P3D and X-Plane platform that offers many advanced options and superb performance. While the platforms are certainly different in many aspects, Reality XP has designed these products to offer the same level of user-experience when setting up and configuring the device with the GUI assistant, or integrating the broad range of features to any aircraft*. For the price of $49.95 per unit, I think that the pricing is fair and that the products themselves are well worth it. With the FSX/P3D and X-Plane GA aircraft m…

Important Internet Protocol Changes for Windows 7, Vista, and XP (Use the translate tools at the bottom of this page if required) If you have trouble connecting to our servers and are using Windows 7, Vista, or XP, then this page contains important information that may apply to you. Recent industry changes for internet transmissions are being implemented, and older protocols are being disabled. This is beyond our control. Specifically, TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are required by modern browsers and internet applications. TLS 1.0 is being depricated. In fact, if you use the Internet Explorer browser on these older computers you may not be able to connect to many secure …

Can anyone tell me how to update the RealityXP database with a new one from Garmin? I know that I would need to buy a subscription from Garmin but I don’t want to spend the money before I know I can actually install it.

I am trying to figure out how I can upgrade a basic license for both a 530/430W package to a professional license for an AATD build. There's no option for such an upgrade on FLIGHT1. The only advice RXP's webpage had was "go to AvSIM". I've messaged the RXP user account with no success in getting a return message. Guessing I've got the process wrong here - does anyone have any clue how I can reach-out to RXP to buy an upgrade for these products?

Hi, Looking at the RXP GTN6xx product and have a few questions: - Unsure if/how this would work for me. XP11 and using a 3rd-party (Vflyte) Piper Arrow. Would the GTN6xx work for this? Would it just replace my existing GNS530 & 430 NAV devices, or would I need to do something else to remove those and replace with the RXP GTN? - Is Avsim the same company as RXP? Or is this just an independent forum on which RXP products are being discussed? I see a testimonial on RXP's site from Avsim, so it seems they're separate, but not sure. - Will all due respect: is this legit? There's not contact name/number for any type of customer service on https://reality…

Is there any way to contact Reality-XP support? I bought the GNS530 and GTN750 plugins for Xplane 12 this morning and somehow I clicked on the wrong link and downloaded the GNS530 plugin for Flsim instead of Xplane. I tried reinstalling using the Xplane installer but it tells me my license file is corrupt, which I'm assuming is because it thinks it should be installing on Flsim... I scoured the Reality-XP website and could not find any phone numbers or working email addresses to contact. When I click on the link to contact support via email, it just takes me back to a page that asks me to pick whether I need to contact support or sales and to come to this forum to…

I just went to click on the 30% coupon for the Garmin 530 and you apparently are ment to Unzip rxp-athome-2020.cpn which does not appear to be able to be unzipped. Not a great impression.

I am a new xplane user and just tried buying the GNS 530/430 bundle. Maybe it's just me, but I could not figure out how to apply the coupon. While strugglilng with that problem, somehow the purchase went through for the 530 only at $49.95. I would have like to get the 430 as well for $10 more with the coupon, but it just would not work. Applying the coupon was a needlessly opaque and arcane process. Is this by design? I hesitate to buy more Reality XP products until I can get this sorted out.

I purchase the Reality XP G530 with P3D 6.1. The Trainer data there is old, like 2014. My G750 is using 2022 data. Is there a way to have the G530 use the G750 Navi graph data. The G530 does not follow the ILS glide approach when APP is enabled and Vectors to Final active. I am thinking the old data is the issue

This has been a hard post to write. I hate that this happened and I kick myself every day for not paying more attention to our support operation in the past few months, while spending most my time on new products R&D. There is only so much one can do in a day and it is a good reminder you’re human and mistakes are easily made. And even though I hope this didn’t affect the majority of our customers, thanks to the maturity of of existing products and that they are reliably running, I want to apologize to those of you who were in needs of RXP assistance during that time. I also want to thank you for your enduring support throughout. We’ve been offering some of the most i…

I have tried all day to purchase the GTN 650/750 bundle at the discounted price to no avail. The ecommerce site has to be the worst I've ever used. Sad, really - I was looking forward to being able to use these devices to practice what my real aeroplane uses.

Hello, The RealAir Lancair Legacy's autopilot stopped working/connecting with the RXP GTN 750 in P3D v6.1. It was working before. Hello, A lot of posts have been written about updating navdata already, which I have gone through for many hours. But because many of them are by now years old, and many versions of both databases and types of hardware have been mentioned within the same thread, digging through them leaves me more and more confused. Perhaps someone could specifically answer my question: I have access through my flight club to both real-world G650 and 430W. Is it possible to use the current real-world 650 database to update the 430W trainer for use by RXP? The reason I mention the 650 is because I understood it is an easier process to get the database files on an SD card than thr…
