Hi guys, Just purchased the Do228 v1.1 for install into p3d 3.3. Upon installation an error appears saying "Error opening file for writing" and the file lists a font, D:\P3D\fonts\digital. I can choose abort, retry, or cancel. If I click retry each time it goes to identifying another font and the same issue. This is weird--I have never seen this before in a huge number of installations of different products with P3D over the years. any ideas? I'm stumped. Using admin privileges to install, UAC controls to "never", no changes to antivirus. Rebooted and tried 3x, same result. Re-downloaded in case file corrupt, nope same issue. Help!

I'm curious to know if the Carenado Aurigny Do228-100 G-LNDG is fictitious? As far as I know Aurigny has only operated the 200 series aircraft apart from a single 100 series aircraft which they used on a trial basis for a 2 week period but which I understand was never registered in the United Kingdom. Hi. I don't know if this have been discussed before, but it seems that neither in v1.0 nor v1.1 the A/P VNAV mode is working. When introducing altitudes on the FMS the values are not respected and you have to play with the ALT SEL and VS modes to set de desired altitudes while on route. If that is true to everybody, could someone at Carenado confirm if VNAV will be implemented at some point in future versions. Cheers, Ed

By now I should know better than buy a aircraft on first release! i. I have a popup screen telling me about how the knobs work. says it will go away in 5 minutes. There is no way to close this screen, X does not work. When i restarted the sim. here comes the popup screen for another 5 minutes. Can anyone explain why the altimeter has red and white bars. non functional the autopilot just does not work, impossible to set, remains dark I have only had thisproduct for 30 minutes.

I just bought this plane for P3D 3.2 last night. I ran the GTN installation program for the plane and I have two 750's. I don't really want two 750's so I was wondering if there's a way to remove one. I tried with the Flight1 Configurator but still have two. They don't cross-talk and I really have no need for two. When I interact with them on the console, not making them pop up I can put a flight plan in the forward one and it will drive the HSI which is fine and I can put a separate direct-to in the aft one. It will show the magenta line going to the separate airport. But when I pop up the aft one is shows the same route as the forward one. I expect this si…

I'm not blaming the developer for this, as I think it's my inexperience with this type of plane. I receive a fuel pressure warning on occasion and don't know why (the fuel pumps are on). Anybody else have this and know what triggers it?

I just completed a night flight in the DO228. During startup I had difficulty in getting all the interior lights on and was wondering if I was missing some light switches somewhere. For example, I couldn't get the cabin lighting or the general panel lights to turn on with the overhead switches ( I got the instrument and exterior lights okay). I ended up using the keyboard "L" key for all the lights, then turning off what I didn't need. Any suggestions or am I missing something? Thanks --WH

I'm a long-time flight simmer, but I'm finding I need a tutorial not knowing what is modeled and what isn't. For example, on the abbreviated checklist (before starting engines), you're to check the stall warning. I searched for a lengthy time and couldn't figure that out, so it's not modeled I guess? There's also a series of fuel pump checks to go through, but the engines start fine without ever touching the fuel pumps. I admit I know little about this type of aircraft, but a written tutorial by Carenado would help getting familiar with this bird.

So, not fully extensively tested. But. My autopilot seems to be working correctly and seems to follow GTN correctly. Its lite up nicely in popup, and all corresponding dash lighting is working. One must use the autopilot in the popup mode, which is just fine. I move mine to my second monitor...works great. Some folks were commenting on animations. The turn animation works perfectly. The pitch rely's on "+" and "-" for up and down without animation. I would be nice to have the pitch knob rotate. And if we are all getting anal about it, then the vertical speed "pull" knob could be done in 3D and actually show its movement in and out and its rotation but otherw…

Hi Haven't bought this bird yet, but will. I think that the the VC is a little too well worn for my liking, especially the dash. I know that someone cleaned up the VC of the Carenado 500S Shrike Aero Commander to give it a more new look. I was wondering if anyone was planning to "clean up" this bird, or if someone could point me in the right direction on how to go about it. Thanks John
