DO228 100 FSX | P3D

Hello all, I'm interested in buying the dornier 228 but was wondering about frame rates. I have purchased many carenado airplanes and frame rates have made a few of them not flyable. Can anyone please provide feedback on dornier 228 frame rates? Cheers, Jason

What can cause an engine fire during flight? I was flying the DO228 the other day and during approach the left engine suddenly indicated a fire. I turned the fire handle and shut down the left engineand managed to land with one engine. However I couldn't stop the fire warning alarm and I have no idea what caused the fire or how to prevent it in future. Can anyone advise what could such occurance in this aircraft? Thanks Stuart

Two observations: Is the c of g correct? only during taxi it is quite easy to nearly tip over during turns. Should the 'RADIO CALL' label on the panel show the planes registration? Regards Mike

when startup p3d get error CMeteoxml.dll and said me yes or no if I want this program,but always the same next time I open p3d.there is a solucion at this?thank you in advance

Good morning. Quick question. I tried an ILS approach yesterday. Had no problem capturing the localizer, but couldn't tell where I was on the glide slope. Is there anything on the Do228 that shows if you are above or below the GS? I had to wait until I got out from the clouds before I could use the papi lights. Thanks, Colin

I'm a long-time flight simmer and I know how to use autopilot on generally every plane I choose. However, with the DO228 and using the F1GTN, there are bizarre times where everything is set up properly (course, glide-slope indicator, alt hold, etc...), and the plane will not capture the glide slope. The annunciator shows that approach mode and glide slope are active, but the gs indicator arrow just drops below the capture point and I then need to fly it in manually. There are times though when it does work perfectly, and I can't begin to figure out why it works at times and not others. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Other than the Northwest Link livery (which is greatly appreciated, btw), is anyone working on any N-registered DO228 liveries? I know very few actually exist here in real life (most are defunct airliners), but it'd be nice to get some fictitious liveries just so they look appropriate flying around in the US.

I have version 1.1 installed. The DME on/off switch is not working. Tried the left and right mouse buttons, can;t turn it on. The VOR is not registering a direction. Where is the ADF indicator? Aside from that this is one fine plane. :smile: :smile:

Good day sim pilots I recently bought the D0228 beautiful aircraft. But my problem is that my props are running at high RPM like 75% with the throttles on idle. Is this normal for this aircraft?

Hi, Quick question, the documentation points towards a functioning weather radar, however I don't seem to be able to get it to work (there was plenty of precipitation around, as I looked for it before trying it). Do I need any extra module for this to work? I'm new to Carenado airplanes.

I've made some wonderful flights with the Steam Edition of this beautiful aircraft on FSX-SE, however my latest flight has an issue where the engines shut down shortly after takeoff, or even while taxiing. I've tried the flight several times. When I can takeoff the initial climb out is fine, the annunciator panel shows no warnings or errors, all electrical systems appear to be operating, i.e., everything otherwise appears nominal, but then the engines shut down, the blue indicator lights on the front panel go out, and I start heading for the trees. Does anyone else have this problem? No matter what switch positions I put the cockpit or cabin lights switches they simply do not work. I can get the overhead panel lights to come on and the instrument lights to come on but not the cockpit dome or cabin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

good morning, I have P3d v3 running. neither in V1.0 nor in V1.1 I get the Transponder the ADF and the DME Indicator working. - The ADF Shows me the frequencies, but iam unable to adjust the frequ. NAV and ATC are working fine. - The Transonder is not switchable to STBY or ON and the Digits are not adjustable as well - The DME Indicator are off and cannot Switch to "ON" any Ideas ? I hope the folks at carenado give us a cargo variant of this plane like they did with the c208 so when I turn around in the vc I see crates and boxes not empty seats that would be great.

As there are no Nepal textures (yet) for the Do-228, I thought I do them myself. These two schemes I have just now finished. Both are fictitious and based on default textures, provided by Carenado. And as the Himalaya is not just limited to Nepal, I also slapped some Indian registrations on the plane, so that the cruising range can be extended. Please have a look and let me know, what you think. Tomorrow I will upload them here to avsim. Once they are available, I’ll let you know. Does anyone else have this problem? I only have the port white wing strobe working not the starboard. Also I notice that there are several minor (small white dot flashes) before a full flash, again the full flash is only functional on the port side. I am using fsx with acceleration and dx10 with paid fixer. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated. Malcolm Hancock

Has anyone else had this problem? The landing lights and rear white nav light are white squares in P3dV3.3 Carenado support was less than helpful. Only suggesting I redownload with no antivirus, uninstall the old version, reinstall and run as administrator - all of which I always do anyway. The strobes and beacon lights work fine. The problem does not occur if I use the same installer to install to FSX-SE The problem does not occur with any other aircraft (including the Carenado EMB505) in P3D. Any suggestions gratefully received.

To be honest I love the plane, but like some of you I didn’t like the worn look of the panel (very much the way I didn’t like how the AC Shrike looked). So I have removed most of the scratches and especially repaired the yellowish part of the lower panel top. Here you can see how it looked before and how it looks now. Let me know if you like it.
