Hi, I want to update the navigation database on the Carenado/Alabeo DA42, but I can't seem to. I tried using a Carenado airac update exe file, and this has updated the database under 'CarenadoNavigraph' folder within my P3D core folder, however the aircraft MFD still shows a 2016 AIRAC. I reached out to Carenado on their support page and they said 'This aircraft doesn't integrate Navigraph, DA62 does' and that 'they believe there is a way [to update the nav database] but they don't know how' and suggesed 'going to the forums'....does anyone have any insight into how I might be able to update it? Here's the Flight1 GTN750 installed in the DA42 Twin Star. It's a custom installation so the GTN Config Tool WAS NOT used. Flight1 GTN750 not included. Has the GTN750 in the VC and as a popup. Alabeo G1000 MFD only available as a popup in case you need it. Hi everyone! I've just discovered that Carenado released SVS G1000 for all their equipped G1000 aircraft. Therefore, we can enjoy a close-to-real G1000 as we should after many years of waiting, Is Alabeos aircraft (DA42... ecc) able to run that G1000 previously mentioned? Thanks Regards, Simone

Ever since flying the DA-42 I felt it was underpowered. Indeed, Alabeo modelled the engines on the Thielert 1.7 Litre units at the start of the DA-42's production run in 2004. Real world it didn't take long for feedback to get to Diamond that the engines were word not allowed poor. Then Thielert went out of business and Diamond tried Lycoming for a bit before finally settling on Austro Turbo 300's which the current DA-42 IV are equipped with. Much faster and leaner burning and make this bird a joy to fly. I tweaked the aircraft.cfg as I flew around the World. It essentially "upgrades" the engines from the Alabeo modelled Thielert 1.7 Litre (under-powered) to the…

Hi, Which is the last version of this Plane 2.1 or 2.0 because on this forum you speak about a 2.1 but on flightsimstore they didn't update the 2.1 and when i download it there is only 2.0 version!! However i have sent them a mail three times the last two months but they don't answer to there customers!!! Best regards.

Hi I would appreciate it if someone could let me know generally how to program the DA42 for a flight plan - not doing it manually. In one of the videos on YouTube it mentions that PlanG software can be used to create the plan, but there is another video suggesting that it would follow a plan entered into Prepar3d! Hello! I am a newcomer to the Alabeo DA42 on P3Dv4, and I am happy with it so far with the exception of the autopilot having a mind of its own. I have reviewed all pertinent topics on this board but none seem to find a solution except to reset the gyro drift. I am familiar with the gyro drift influences, and I have it disabled. On my first flight, the autopilot would not do anything besides bank 60+ degrees left and right, even with no roll mode engaged. I tried pressing 'D' to reset the heading gyro just to be safe. No effect. I ended up handflying the flight since nothing I could do would get the autopilot to do what I wanted it to. On my second flight, t…

Ok so I feel really stupid to have to ask this but I cannot get the parking brake to disengage. I have tried everything I can think of but every time I click on it the sim just makes an angry errrr sound. I am using p3d 4.2 . I don't fly much general aviation (mainly military planes) so I am wondering what I am doing wrong or if there is some kind of bug.

The "support" page refers to G1000PDF as a working manual. However I find thatmany many of the keys referred to are in fact non existant. Is this a bad load or simply an example of Alabeo support? As my first purchase from this company I'm having some second thoughts.

I have ASN and the DA42 version 2.1 installed on my sim running FSX. I have seen some posts on this forum about the DA42 having a working weather radar page if you have REX or ASN. I can not even find the button to turn the weather page on or off. I searched through the PDF files and do not see wx as even option working. Any insight would be most helpful

Hi guys, I'm totally new to this model but one thing is bothering me, i cant seem to select the normal procedure checklists. I use the relevant knobs on the G1000 to highlight normal procedures checklists but no matter what i press, especially "ent" it always seems to go to emergency procedures. Am i doing anything wrong before that, can anybody give me some steps please.

Hi all, I have purchased and downloaded the alabeo DA42. It has a few bug but the one that is annoying me is the fact i dont have a flight director on the PFD. Not even CTR+F works! Anyone able to help? Thanks

I fly the FSX C172 with the MindStar G1000 in P3dv3 and get excellent FPS (57-60) vsync enabled, unlimited settings. When I fly the DA42 (stock) I get FPS (57- 60). I was able to implement the MindStar G1000 into the DA42 and also get great FPS (57- 60) on the runway. I take off and still get the same FPS until about 1,000 feet into climbing the FPS drops to 32 - 40. I noticed the PFD altitude indicator is causing the FPS problem in this aircraft, as the number change the FPS remain low until I reach whatever altitude, the FPS goes back up to 57 - 60. This does not happen with the C172. Anyone have experience as to what it could be, maybe a gauge conflict? Must be t…

I like to undock the G1000 PDFand MDF0onto seperate monitors.However whenever I do this theDa 42 powers off the cockpit units. Can anyone advise how to keep both the instruments in the cockpit and on my monitors powered up. As an aside I really enjoy this a/c but yes it's really buggie. Bob

I´m having an issue (well, several actually, but this is the most critical at the moment). When I have the AP in HDG mode, the plane will violently bank left and right past the selected heading, never actually settling on the set heading. If for instance I set the heading bug 180 degree left or right of the heading I´m flying, it will continue to roll until I reach an angle beyond 60 degree, and I have to take over to save the airplane. I can´t see anyone else having this issue, so there might be something wrong with my settings. I´m using P3D4 and AS16 btw.

If I put a failure on one engine, I flat out cannot get this aircraft to stay in the air... is this something I'm doing wrong, specifically? I can be at 100 knots, completely trimmed straight and level, and within a couple of minutes I'm stalling out despite making no attempt to climb whatsoever. The aircraft just decelerates and turns into the damaged engine, and then as soon as I add any rudder/aileron to counteract that, the additional drag stalls me out entirely This is P3D, in case that makes any difference

You can disable the MFD when clicking on the upper left screw. If you then miss your engine status, you can click the red button on the audio panel to have it showing up on the PFD. Should look like this. Once you are done, click the screw again and the MFD returns without the need to run the boot sequence.

Chaps... Having a slight issue with my DA42, just purchased it for FSX steam. Selected FSX steam as the platform, manually had to find the FSX steam folder for it to install. Everything installed ok, shows up fine in the create a flight menue, but in game, the external is, well...see for yourself... Any help would be appreciated.
