The issues with the autopilot have been discussed under the known Bugs topic. One of the issues the FD button missing from the KFC225 Autopilot. On of the posts stats that this AP in real life did not come equipped with a FD. I thought this odd so I went to BendixKing and downloaded the manual. It does come equipped with a FD. I started a support ticket because when I first purchased this product the FD did not work. After several days I have heard nothing on the support ticket. For those new comers who want a FD the solution is simple. Scroll through the .CFG until you find the equipment list or search Flight Director. You will find flightdirector=0. Just cha…

I saw a TV program that featured this aircraft and have since found two developers who offer it for sale. Does anyone have any experience of either or even better both? Just wondering which is preferred by users. Thanks Tom

Posting a few links to some of the initial reviews regarding the real plane, which was quite the technology beast when she came out in 2004. Not only the use of modern materials but also the one of the Diesel engines and single lever (+power percentage from the FADEC) setup while the G1000 of course is a milestone of its own. Other planes did come with such character traits but the combination of them all rendered the DA42 somehow special and maybe even risky from the investor's side. Hello, I'm having a problem with the Alabeo DA42's G1000 displays. They turn off/go blank/dead mid flight, after approx two hours flying time. Its as though the aircraft battery dies, Can't turn them on again. System: i7 triple monitor VC, Nvidia 680, Win 7, FSX Boxed Acc Edition running DX10 . DA42 download purchased a week ago. Anyone seen this behavior or has any advice please? Thanks in anticipation Andrew

Do you think it would be difficult putting the mindstar g1000 in the DA-42? I was just wondering because of the 3d knobs it might be difficult.

Hi, Has anyone successfully entered a flight plan directly into the G1000? Everytime I do, the whole flight plan is reversed. For example, (and this is just a plan with random WPT's). Plane is at KSNA. Entered in the plan - KSNA - JOGIT - RAL - KCNO. When entering the plan, KSNA is at the bottom, then JOGIT, then RAL, then KCNO at the top. The pink arrow to the next WP shows JOGIT to KSNA. In the Aux page Legs section, it shows KCNO to KSNA. Backwards. I've entered a lot of flight plans directly into the G1000 of other planes and have never run into this. Is there something special in this plane's G1000 that I am just overlooking? Thanks. Jim
