I'm flying the Carenado Phenom 100 on FSX. I'm trying to setup the LOOP9 KLAX SID for departure on the runway 25R. For this departure, I usually set the #2 VOR to the Santa Monica VOR, with a 160 course to monitor passing this radial for noise abatement and then I can start a left turn to a heading of 235 degrees and fly our over the ocean. I'm new to the G1000 and am wondering how do I set up this to display on the FO's PFD and have my Capt PFD set to KLAX VOR with a 250 course? On the feelThere Phenom 100 is there a hot spot I can click on to hide the control yokes?

I just purchased and installed the feelThere Phenom 100 for FSX. All I can do is turn on the two battery switches. No GPU action at all. I click on it and nothing. Is there something else I have to do to get GPU power? Thanks...

Hi all. Can someone help me please? I don't seem to be getting my Minimum call outs. I used to but no longer even though I think I'm setting up correctly. Could one of you fine personages please confirm the correct procedure and anything else that may possibly be effecting? Many thanks - Nige

Hello Please could someone advise. I cannot find a manual for the Carenado Phenom 100. The download installer included some checklist pdf's (Normal & Emergency Procedures, Performance) and a pdf manual for the G1000, but nothing else. I'm having to search Youtube and Forums just to get basic 'how to' instructions eg Startup procedures, Opening doors and luggage hatches etc etc. Where is the aircraft manual located please? I select a VOR that on the sectional chart shows it supports DME. I tune both radios to the VOR and the NAV function does track to it. However, I do not see a readout of the miles to the station. I press the DME button on the PFD but still no distance shows. Am I doing something wrong, or is this feature not implemented? jim

Hello dear people, I had installed the Carenado Phenom 100 but a have a problem, the cockpit is transparent. From external view the plane looks greate but in the cockpit I't looks transparent. I gonna attach two pictures for show you. Please help me! How I can fix it? :( I HOPE U CAN HELP ME! THANKSS

OK, back in my private sanctuary planning on a little quality time with a new plane, a Carenado Phenom 100. Everything is going good, figuring out the glass cockpit (new stuff for me) it's got a few bugs but seems to work OK for someone with my limited experience. Now I get this thing in the air and I'm starting to really like it and then suddenly, just like anything pretty with curves, it starts nagging at me! Now I know these audible warnings are part of the new glass cockpits but don't they usually put a gag button in the cockpit somewhere to silence this and if so, maybe someone would be kind enough to point it out to me?! …

I've been learning something new each day about this impressive aircraft. I however, cannot get the weather radar to work. Is there a switch, button, or knob that needs to be adjusted?

Greetings, I thought I would take the Phenom 100 out for a spin after completing my 2.5 load, and while the aircraft loads fine, I cannot activate the primary (center) MFD. Cold and dark works fine, I can spin up the engines, but no MFD. When I click on either the rightmost button or ENT I get a momentary flash of the normal display, but then it reverts to the Startup display, the one that says this, that, and the other thing has expired. This is also true for the Shift + 2 display. Anybody else seen this? I reloaded the aircraft, and also disabled instrument reflections per the "P3D User Readme" suggestion, but still nothing works. Installed in P3Dv2. When I load the Phenom and choose the cold and dark state, the aircraft won't start. Fuel pumps auto, ignition auto and when I turn the start knobs to 'run' N1 spools to 11% and just stops. If I load the plane and create my own cold and dark state, it works fine. Strange. Todd

I have recently purchased a nice shiney new phenom, but I am finding this aircraft very frustrating. I never had any issues with ILS landing on any default aircraft or even a freeware citation. My problem is that half the time the plane does not pick up the Glidescope and I cannot see any reason for this. I have the NAV1 Tuned into the correct ILS Frequency I have the Course Set to the correct one I have the display set to VOR1, which then changes to ILS1 when I get close to the airport I have the morse code Peeps going. Howdy from Houston everyone. I'm Gary and am new to the forum. I wanted to say how much I love the Phenom 100. For me, it's a joy to fly, so much so, I can't bring myself to fly anything else. Heck, already have 150 flight hours on it. I did fly the feelThere Phenom for a long time but haven't gone back to it (even though it's easier on frame rates and more systems are modeled). I use a laptop and while having to drop some scenery settings, my frame rates aren't bad at all. All in all I'm having a blast. If I can help anyone with flying tips (I'm no expert), I'll gladly try to help. Gary

I have just installed the Phenom 100 in FSX. I have just come across my first issue. I have loaded a IFR flight plan. Then when I select the PROC key (procedure key) I see that SELECT APPROACH is selected in bold green letters. Then I try to select the DEPARTURE selection, but I can not accomplish this. The line select does not move to the departure selection. The flight plan does show that it is loaded. So I am trying to figure out what I must do to be able to select a SID departure. Any ideas what I must be doing wrong? Thanks, Jim

Hi, I'm really trying hard to enjoy my Phenom, and slowly I'm getting there. No doubt SP1 will be worth the wait. Is anyone having issues with setting takeoff thrust, and the initial climb? Engine rating options are available under systems, and these include temp, ATR on/off, continuous, and climb, but I can't seem to get them to work. My Phenom redlines at about 85-86%, and at full takeoff weight, I barely crawled off the opposite threshold of RW09 at TNCM. If I firewall the throttles and ignore the flashing red and CAS warning symbols, then life onboard the Phenom becomes easier but no less less risky. Trying to help a friend with his Phenom which comes up with dark displays and a message saying only one engine is running. There is radio traffic but cockpit is dark. I had him try shift+6 to set for ready to taxi but he said that didn't work. I did a reinstall by deleting the Phenom in Windows programs and reinstalling. No luck, same result. Any suggestions? Do I need to delete and reinstall using a different procedure? Thanks Mike

When you guys complain about FPS what are your specs? What texture max load are you running with what add-ons? Have you taken the time to read on forums and do the few tricks to the fsx.cfg files as recommended in this forum? I only ask because I run this plane anywhere with REX, ASN, UTX, GEX ect. ect. and get around 60fps in non-add-on airports and city's and 30fps in heavy add-on scenery's. I"ll bet anything most of you having issues run 4096 max load texture, high road and airline traffic and max settings....with most if not all the add-ons listed above. Hi folks, i had a question. How to select a wpt in fpl to fly directly to it ? Example: When i fly on IVAO and ATC tells me "direct to B wpt", i go on MFD, FPL, select the wpt in question but when i push enter, the MFD select the leg between the wpt A to B but not the B wpt directly !!! I tried, and tried, and tried and always the same result: Leg between wpt, no direct wpt... Is it an umpteenth limitations of carenado g1000 or a bad manipulation from me ?? Someone had the same prob ?? Thx a lot.

I can't find any info on opening baggage door, cowls, or installing wheel chocks, cones, engine caps.

In FSX I am getting a warning of "critical low fuel - in tank selected, use Ctrl+X to fill up now" So how to select the fuel? I see the button on the left that looks like a cross-feed. It will tell me tanks are level. The system display "fuel" does look low, i can't really read it well. The default MS read out says I have 100% fuel on board. All pumps are on. tried switching aircraft and back, no help. thanks

Was seriously hoping that Carenado would have seen the problem with the introduction of this add-on. Tested SP1 today along with competitive products under exactly same conditions on my high-end gaming/sim system. Carenado Phenom: 7-8 FPS. FeelThere Phemon: 27 FPS + Flight 1 Mustang: 29 FPS + Many of the same issues remain. No more upsets. No more disappointments. No more half baked products. No more Carenado.

I have selected the weather radar screen on the MFD. However, I get no returns when flying in rainy weather. Does this weather radar work? Jim
