SR22 GTSX Turbo HD Series for FSX | P3D

  1. Started by jtholt0016,

I purchased the Cirrus this past Friday and have flown several flights. The one thing I noticed is that it is a bit bouncy. If you are not real precise with your Joystick/yoke the front/nose will bounce up and down more than it should. It is real noticable on approach. It does not seem to settle as quickly or to be as stable in flight as the other products put out by Carenado. I think they need to look at and tune the flight dynamics of the aircraft. The front is bouncy!!!!!! JH

I found a photo someplace during a seach and thought it just looked like it would be a great repaint for FSX. I fiddled around a little - no paintkit yet - and came up with something almost, but not quite, presentable. I am going to fly this one around a while and check with Carenado and see what I have to do to get permission to upload it. That is, when I get around to cleaning up the dribbles. It might never happen but I sure do like the colors and lines. Ray

Hi I love this plane but it's let down by little things that seem to be missed for some reason. I have noticed that when again viewed from the outside the Air Speed Indicator is missing from the panel, and also if you have a look closely to the left side of the co-pilot foot well there is no modelling at all just an empty space. That airline is just hovering in mid air.

Hi, do not know what you guys think, but I would prefer a straight level flight horizon when u look at the exterior view. The pilot's hand doesn't reach the stick. just 2 minor things, but would be cool if fixed later in a service pack Greetings

  5. Greetings fellow Cirrus drivers... Last night I noticed something odd regarding the vor needles or lack there of. I'll try to explain the best I can. I was getting ready to make my ILS approach. I set the ILS frequency in the #1 nav, then put a VOR freq in the #2 nav so I could keep tracking to the IAF. All freq was set correct. I was too far away for the ILS to pick up. But when I activated the ILS in the #1 nav the VOR in the #2 nav didn't show the needle. I saw the DME for the #2 nav still working, but the needle was not showing in the HSI. Is this normal for this type of equipment or is this a bug to be addressed by Carenado? Do I need to set something up so I can…

I purchased the SR22 today and wow, I really feel Carenado got this one wrong .......... Performance I will keep this short; I own the NGX, Airbus Extended, Coolsky DC-9, etc, and this GA aircraft, with 'light' non-realistic systems modelling is the heaviest aircraft on PC / GPU performance that I have ever used in any version of FS. Not everyone needs such an esoteric, ultra high definition model! I would kill for a SD version, with sensible (that is the key word here) texturing, and smooth operation. This thing is currently slow to load textures, stuttery (jumps between locked 30 FPS and 14 FPS), and just not nice to operate. Systems I …

Doing a flight from 1C5 to KLCH and the tempt is M09 at 1C5 but the PFD is showing 14C. Here's the picture! This bug needs some fixing.

O.k. Not exactly how I planned to burn a weekend, but you know how it is. I present to you all, a more "manly" SR22 GTSX Teledyne Continental TSIO-550 sound set; by myself and Gary Jones. A big thanks to Gary for the samples. Adapted by little old me with FS Studio and Cool Edit Pro 2.0 (a very old program, but one of the best home studios ever written). Only the motor is replaced. Even the neat prop wash is maintained. High def 16 bit stereo 44.1 format, with sound cones. Should be in the lib after Avsim has a look. Search for Carendo SR22 GTX engin sounds:

The dirty little bugger is in the file named "rpm3". As you know, each sound file is repeated over and over, giving the illusion of constant running. The beginning and end of these files have to "match" in the wave form, or you get the click. I was able to fix the clip by removing some of the beginning, and a little off the end. I have a home studio, and this is easy for me, but would be a bit of a job with something like Audio freeware... what has to be cut is very very small... nano seconds really. I would post this fix, but Carenado has the copyright on the file. Also, the "startup" file is about 2.5 decibels "louder" then the "running idle" engine. at any rate…

I'm in love the visuals on this plane! Systems-wise, I think it's going to be doable with the 430 merged in there buttressing the "Carenado Perspective". Not a procedures trainer by any stretch of the imagination but a fun plane to fly and a stunner to look at... If you don't believe me, see if these shots convince you: I would say that the paint "kit" or lack thereof on this bird is amazingly complex and disjointed. Once again, I found myself wishing that Carenado released layered paint kits!!
