****OH-58D Warrior**** "OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Polychop is proud to reveal to you the module we’ve been working on for the past two years, the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. Licensed by Bell Textron and with the input and feedback from many very dedicated subject matter experts from the Kiowa community, we think the OH-58D module will be on par with the other high-end helicopter modules currently available in DCS World. Fitted with the iconic Mast Mounted Sight and a vast array of weaponry we think the Kiowa will stand its ground and have its place in the DCS World eco-system, capable of fulfilling many roles ranging from recon and AFAC to close air support and anti-tank wa…

I'm just getting back into DCS after many years. Last few years I just have bought a new aircraft every few years when there's a sale. In hopes that will encourage me to get back into DCS. But that's part of the problem, I never want to spend the hours it's going to take to get good control profiles for all the aircraft! Last time I had good profiles it was just for the A-10 and on a old school Cougar HOTAS and CH Pro pedals. Now I have a T16000M with the throttle and pedals (flight pack, bought before prices and availability when NUTS. Thank god.). I own the A-10C, F-5, F-15, F-16, F-18, SU-33, P-51. I want to try out the F-14 this week. I can't recall anything a…

Hi all After having played and enjoyed Jane's USAF a long time ago, I decided to get my hands on a stick again and go for DCS. I went through the training sessions for the P-51D, so I could start the campaign. After some sessions, you get to fly really far and high, and that's where I hit a roadblock: I can't get that thing above 15'000 feet with normal procedures. First thing I did is to switch to game mode, because every single of the actions below would blow your engine to pieces within no time. This is what I did. Please comment/add, so I can finally go t0 20'000 ft as required by the campaign: - Carburator air control down (*not* on RAM AIR) …

Hi, With the summer sale fast approaching, could we expect to see aircraft such as the F-18 and Persian Gulf map both now on 50% off, as they have only been 25% off in the last few sales. Thanks, Bill

Hey all. Got a Reverb g2 pre-ordered. Should be here in a month or so unless they delay it again. While I wait, I'm constructing a "sim pit" which I had planned to make very elaborate with curved screen projectors, etc until I decided to go VR. Now it's pretty much gonna be a chair with mounts for various controllers. 😉 Looking for tips from people who are already using VR with DCS. I have a HOTAS stick (T1600M), but it doesn't have quite enough buttons to handle everything I need to use in the F18. I've been using a custom button box app on an Android tablet to flesh out the controls, but that of course won't work since I won't be able to see the tablet with the hea…

Sign of age? Not sure, but I decided it was long past due to get into Air Combat Sims. I have a crazy fast PC on the way and took the plunge on the hardware. What would be your recommendation for a first air combat game? Thanks - Andy.

Has anyone any experience of upgrading from 16 to 32Gb of RAM and whether the cost of extra RAM is justified? I understand that in P3d the difference in the extra memory would hardly be of any concern, but now I fly a lot in DCS I'm wondering if the extra memory could be helpful. Cheers fellas.

Greetings in the new year! I'm planning to go with one of the two versions of DCS and I'd go with the non-steam (standalone) version as I'm not a big steam fan for reasons pertaining bloatware and privacy issues. Anyway, I know that dlc's are not inter-compatible so I have to carefully choose one path. I'd like to know if the standalone version supports VR. Does anyone know if there are any differences in performance VR-wise? Maybe steam VR has some optimizations under the hood or anything like that. I've ordered an Oculus Quest and will arrive next week. Until then I'd like to take advantage of the discounts (before Jan 5th) and purchase some stuff *rubs h…

Hi guys. Look, hands up, this is entirely new to me! I've been a 'simmer' for a few years, but because my computer is fairly outdated, I haven't really been exploring the various options out there. Basically, I use FSX with non autogen photoscenery, and with A2A and PMDG addons, it has served me well. As such, although i'm well aware of the existence of P3D, FS2 and X-Plane, my interest in them had never been sufficiently piqued to upgrade my system. Now that MSFS 2020 has been announced and showcased over the previous months, the term DCS seems to be cropping up more and more, usually in the context of simmers proclaiming that their future will comprise only of MSFS…

Flying VR (Oculus s with a saitek proflight x52 joystick and throttle) you have one hand on the joystick and the other on the throttle...how do you work the instrument panel? Do you pick up the touch pad or use the mouse? Is it hard because you can't see the mouse? I have only flown VR using virtual controls so curious how it's done.

I like the Logitech Saitek x52 and x52 Pro. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01LZ1MQTL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They have resistance that you can adjust, and has a proper reverse thrust axis on the throttle where you actually pull it back and it locks into place. It's literally the best part about landing a jet! I checked out other brands being recommended, but it seems that most use a work around where you program a button to reverse the throttle without actually pulling the throttle back? Can anyone confirm what other brands have a proper reverse thrust axis? Anyway I went back to my tried and true Saitek x52. P.S if you…

After experiencing VR flight I can't go back to non-vr...so I had been deciding whether to go with aerofly2 or flyinside but now that I have discovered DCS I'm definitely getting it!
