C340 II HD Series FSX | P3D

Hey guys, I am currently flying my C340 on an xc, FL210, 24"/2300 RPM, and I have a light lit on the annunciator panel that reads "L TRANS". I have never seen this lit before and am unsure what it is. I'm a real world pilot as well, though never flown this beautiful girl myself, and I've been racking my brain to figure out what it is/what it's for. Carenado's documentation is completely lacking on these types of situations, so I was hoping one of you guys/gals may have come across it before/know what it is and how to fix it. Let me know, thank you!(I'm going to kick myself if it's something pretty obvious, which I'm guessing it is.)

Everytime i switch to this plane i get flickering autogen spikes , i have other planes like the FSD Commander, Lionheart Epic, Carenado Saratoga, Seneca yet no problems with those , I think a lite model should have been included , non HD !!! ,,, or some warning that your video card that runs the Seneca wont necessarily run the 340. , but this wont happen , thats why i dont buy no more Carenado planes.

Modifications:-ADI now shows the correct pitch of the aircraft.-Weather radar is working now.-Altimeter now has bigger hundreds digits and the thousands digits move from 9 to 0 smoothly.-Yaw Damper switch is now in the correct position (the switch was inverted).-3D knobs option now leaves the two squelch 3D knobs.-Primer now has the correct movements.-Stall speed was adjusted for more realism.-Flap lift was reduced for more realism.-Shift+4 now shows the Autopilot.-Spoilers were eliminated from the flight dynamics. Hi guys, I wonder if any one can help me, I purchased this from Just flight this morning, and have to say I love it, just had a great 3 hr flight from cosford to Germany, However I did notice two issues that I wonder if anyone can help me with,1. I cant for love or money get the GPS to display the map view, I know that on the 430 you should click the right hand knob clockwise once and this will put the display to map. When I attempt to do this is just goes to the default nav page but this time without my course showing. Any ideas guys. Hi everyone,I got the Arezone soundset for the C210 tonight and like it much more than the freeware offering Arezone has for the C210. As far as the C340 is concerned, has anyone purchased the soundset for this? Good afternoon,Searched to see if this problem occurs with others, but did not find any posts. When flying on VATSIM, the altimeter setting in the Kollsman window remains at 29.91 and if manually set to correct altimeter setting it now indicates incorrect altimeter setting. For example; current METAR calls for 30.05 for an altimeter setting (840MSL field elevation); if I manually set 30.05, an incorrect altimeter setting is reflected on the altimeter. However, if I use "B" and let FSX adjust, the altimeter needles move to the correct airport elevation but 29.91 remains constant in the Kollsman window (30.05 will not be displayed).Any ideasThanks.Gmac

Does anyone know what the mixture settings for this aircraft is? How hot do you set the ** or EGT for performance and economy?

Hi everyone, Recent and content owner of a brand new c340.A shortcomming of Carenado is the limited documentation that they supply with their planes. I own several other excellent of their planes and have managed to find further background docs regarding them, like POH, owners manual etc. However for the c340 i have come up emptyhanded! Does anyone have some substantial documentation. From the Carenado documentation it is easy to see that they must have had a poh as the text is cut and paste. Any info. regarding the use of the plane is very welcome. Lars

Hello everyone, Needless to say I stumbled on this superb forum this evening via google as I'm a little stumped on a new purchase I made today.So this evening I purchased the Seneca II and the C340 II packs from the Just Flight website to add to my ever-growing collection of Cerenado aircraft. When FSX first loaded up, it asked the usual "Would I like to activate and run the following new items" etc which I selected yes/Run to.Then when the aircraft preview came up, the wings weren't there! Is there a way to tweek the resolution of the GPS/RADIO freq screen?It is a little squished and difficult to read at the mo.

I noticed a bug on the C340. The aircraft burns fuel from the auxiliary tanks even when the fuel selector is on the main tanks. Hi,I just bought the Carenado C340, I plan to go around the world with it using IYP (Its Your Plane).Anyway, I cannot figure out how to control the autopilot, the manual doesn't seem to mention it.I have found a notice about switching between GPS and NAV, and I have figured out hot to display the map (THAT one was a puzzler :)),but is there a altitude hold feature? A heading hold feature? A follow nav and follow gps? etc?I assume there is, but I cannot find it anywhere. Could some kind soul point me in the right direction, possibly just let me know where its described in the documentation.Thanks,Helge

I love the C340 II. Great model, but am I cannot load a flight plan in the GNS 430. It will only allow me to do direct to. Can anyone help please. I am familiar with the Garmin series of GPS's and have loaded flight plans on other models.

Is there any pitot covers on the C340 II? I turn the static elements on, and everything appears except for the pitot covers.

Hello,I just purchased the Carenado C340 today. It is a great aircraft, but I cannot open the doors. I tried shift e 1,shift e 2 and shift e 3, but it seems as the function is not assigned. Hi all,Just wondering if you could perhaps help me with an issue I have with airplanes in fsx. For some reason, the edges of the planes are white and jaggedy. An example of this is below, the carenado c340, which by the way is very fun to fly. :)

Good evening, Strange thing happened, have both the V35 and C340 and all was working perfect till today on both aircraft. As of today, I am unable to tune the OBS CRS or HDG CRS on the DG on either the C340 or the V35B with the mouse. It is only this gauge...anyone else seen this or have any idea on how to correct. I have purchased three Carenado craft: the 182RG which is a real winner, The Beech V33 which is ok too, and now the 340 which I now consider a "work in progress". I have replaced the GNS unit with the rxp 530.Added a King-Air AP (with altitude and VS adjustments).I have replaced the transponder with the rxp GTX327.But I can not figure out how to replace the 24 TSO Radio at the top of the stack.Anyone have ideas, or is it like the 3D gauges that cant be retrofitted?Thanks,Jason

Why is it that whenever I REALLY like a plane it gives me so much trouble?1. I Absolutely cannot start the engines :(:unsure:and, yes, the checklist is being used.Never had this happen either in a sim or real aircraft. Am I missing something? It seems that the engine is firing long enough to burn off the prime and is getting no more fuel. Boost pump is on, fuel selector valve set to proper tank.2. Even with the brakes locked, when an engine fires up (for a second or two), the 340 turns 80-90 degrees. Try the other engine, turns in the opposite direction (as it should). After getting the AP to pop up. I engage it and press HDG. Everything works as it should. However, pressing the ALT button causes a white border to appear around the pop-up and the ALT does not engage. When I set the altitude it immediately pops back to 000, same with VS. Cannot engage ARM either. The ONLY way I can get ALT to work is to press NAV button, engage ALT then disengage NAV. Can someone enlighten me about this AP operation?

Is it possible to alias the flap extend/retract sound to something that will sound more realistic than that silly Cessna 172? How about the King Air? And how would I do it, if it is indeed possible?

I haven't purchased the C340 II yet, was waiting to see if there was going to be some additional textures by those talented artist.Has there been any new textures released?Russ
