The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Long long before FLYING WILD ALASKA and ICE PILOTS NWT, there was an airline called Reeve Aleutian Airways that was genuine epitome of those two tv shows where the airline roamed through freezing cold Alaska flying millions of flights flown by brave pilots dealing with weather difficulties. Presenting Reeve Aleutian Airways's Lockheed L-188 Electra flight from PAKT Ketchikan International Airport located on Gravina Island just one nautical mile west of Ketchikan on the other side of the Tongass Narrows to PASI Sitka Rocky Gutierrez Airport on Japonski Island west of the central business district of Sitka. I was doing a flight from Columbia Crest Winery, Paterson WA to home, KAST Astoria OR. I was flying along the mighty Columbia River at about 6500ft agl and happened to look down and saw a series of twinkling lights in, not near, the Columbia. Being able to step outside for a closer look I was able to see the the Orbx Scenery folks had thought to actually include navigation buoys for any virtual shipping on the river. I am now left to wonder whether the locks actually work.
