So, I did my first flight with FTXG yesterday, first impression of the textures is awesome. I can agree with the critisism about "too green", in southern Portugal I would think there would be a little more brownish/yellow colors. I guess this will be much better when they launch the Open LC packages or another third party landclass product. All in all FTXG is for me a very worthwhile upgrade, even though it meant wiping all GEX regions :blush: Enjoy Preparing at std 53 while company Concorde is taxiing out (!) I am using REX Essential overdrive - UTX USA - FTX Global - Shade - Treesx 2.1 - 1024 Textures I had sliders all them maxed out except traffic was about 16% Now here is the story I have never ever been able to max out my sliders Titan or not since loading Global I can now no idea why but simply amazing, if you don't have Global you have no idea how much better your sim experience will be, just get it - WOW. My 1st flight near Jarny with the new C340 II: Happy flying ! B)

Flew over Norway at dusk, and had some amazing weather along. Just had this really feel good-moment when I was flying:-) ...and the main reason why I keep nagging all developers to add windshield rain: The look and feel when of rain hitting your windshield... I am currently doing a flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Hong Kong, China. I am going to post screenshots along the way and share it with the community so you guys can see more of the beautiful FTX Global in action. Especially for those who are curious to see the region of SE Asia, it finally looks like it should and it's truly breathtaking. I will start with a pic of me shortly after take off leaving from VVTS - Tan Son Nhat International and end with pics of the final arrival into the Hong Kong area.

I tell you, it is just so neat to climb out and see this through the windscreen. I particularly like the way the sun was peeking out from under the cloud layer. Of course, you really had to be there...

Here are a few pictures, most of them taken at a higher altitude than my previous ones, from a short flight from Leirin to Haukasen, using FTXG and Norway freeware mesh, landclass and airports. One thing that I like a lot is the variation in trees which makes area's that look dull in default FSX (all the same flat trees) look a lot better and varied!

Finally finished my Aviation Technology final exams, one more year to go! Dusted off the beautiful Carenado SR22 for a quick hop from KHQM to KGRF
