The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Steep approach into Bute. We'd been higher than normal from Glasgow, due to a cloud layer. So the top of the drop was pretty steep! On the ground at Bute Airfield. Our passengers disembarked, we take a rest before the return flight to Glasgow.

Here are a few images from two scenery items I am getting ready to upload. The first is intended as an enhancement to the Aerosoft Kamchatka - the Lost World scenery; it is the Rybachiy Submarine Base in Avachinskiy Bay. Rybachiy had the NATO reporting name "The Hornet's Nest" and remains the site of the only functioning nuclear SLBM storage facility in the Russian arsenal. It is also the site of large scale decommissioning and dismantling and in typical Soviet fashion has a large graveyard of submerged and half sunken ships and hulls, which is represented in the scenery. I also modeled the SAM site at the top of the hill. _______…

I slewed up into the air to test a lens flare mod which changes the typical flare to a sun glare. This, combined with the lovely RealAir Duke and the fantastic freeware sky textures by Gabriel Teles, produces a very nice scene at sunset. Sometimes it is nice to go out to sea, to see the pattern of the waves. How they touch, how they interact, with the life below them and the heavens above them. Just one lasting image for our day John

John Denver was always a favorite of mine, and Rocky Mountain High always comes to mind when I see the Rockies. Too bad not all of the Colorado Blue Sky files are available, Gottfried Razek is looking for a place to host them. I can't wait to see more of his beautiful scenery. If you want your FSX to look like this, go to his website. And if you like his work, give him a helping hand, whatever you can give, even if it is a silent moment of prayer for what he gives us and our hobby. Regards, John
