Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I've been wanting to do this for a while and today I have a little time, so here it goes. I am constantly bombarded by statements about how reducing image weight reduces the image quality. For the purpose of this discussion, "weight" is determined by the "quality" setting dialogue box when you save a jpeg. First, it is important to understand the difference between image size and file size. Image size is simply the length of the image times the height of the image times the resolution in pixels per inch (ppi). So I bought FTX Global today, and here it is "out of the box", in my DX10 set up, which uses SweetFX. I haven't quite got my SweetFX set up right (too much saturation) but the main purpose of these shots is because I know many DX10 users are concerned about FTX Global and how it currently works. To get it working, one BGL file needs to be de-activated and this unfortuately affects night lighting. However as you can see, daytime use is completely fine in DX10, with this 'tweak' Riga, Estonia (Click Pics to see full size)

Over the summer I took a month long Amtrak trip from Philly-Chicago-Seattle-Southern California... And back.. One of my most memorible moments was the day I took my rental car from Tacoma down to Portland and traversed down the Columbia River Gorge... One of the most beautiful places.. Unlike the shots.. My real trip it didn't rain when I got to the dam and fish ladder.
