I don't normally do things like this, but folks need to be warned. If you are looking for a web host for your VA, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use 101-networking.com. Ozark VA has used them for about one year as we are in a contract. The server goes down nearly once a month for several days at a time. We have tried no less than 12 emails with no response. They moved us to another server which is down and have not contacted us to tell us why they moved us. We have tried to move to another host, only to find that they have locked our domain name (ozarkva, com), and since they don't respond to emails, we cannot get it unlocked. Since they are based in the UK, a phone call w…

Qantas Airlines which is the major international carrier of the down under has strategic flights encompassing the globe with hundreds of flights daily. In my past research I have looked high and low for a good solid structured Qantas Virtual Airlines and I havent found anything that seemed worthy enough to stand up to competitive VA's I have seen previously. Im trying to take a poll to see what kind of response I would get as to making this VA. I have plenty of previous VA experience as a pilot and a CEO of VA's. This is a new journey I am planning to embark on, would anyone be interested in flying with us. Im just taking a poll, if you would like to see it please respond…

Things have changed since our last post here at Avsim. We have been joined by an Inverness based VA called Moniack Air Transport who are operating services for us from their Munich hub ( confused, well, they were a small Cargo VA who operated freight services from Inverness to Munich, then they went into the pax market operating services from Munich). We have different divisions at Invictajet, so there's plenty to fly for our VA pilots, be it a flight with the Alps Air Taxi to a quick low cost service on the InvictaExpress 737's!Also we have the forum, where we try and encourage pilots to put there idea's forward and to place those screenshots that will impress all the oth…

In light of all the recent developments in Iraq and in other theatres of conflict around the world that it will recognise the hours flown by any of it's members of any miliraty based virtual airline provided those hours are posted on the milsims website and that they do not exceed the hours flown for Air Fresno by 50%. What does that mean? It means if you fly 12 hours with Air Fresno and half of that total (6 hours) flown for your milsim VA that are posted in that same period will be applied to the Air Fresno roster. It's our way of recognising what essentially would be a "virtual National Guard". Air Fresno will also credit any new pilots with 50% of their hours from any…

Hey guys!Well for quite a long time I was thinking about creating a different kind of VA... a business VA Using A319's configured in a sort of economy/business cabin and flying mainly to big important busines cities in Europe and in the future maybe america, asia and the middle east.As I said the fleet will consist of Airbuses A319 (ACJ) and our hub will be London Gatwick. I am planning for the aircraft to do 3 rotations a day to the important cities (frankfurt, paris, amsterdam etc) and 2 rotations a day for the other cities (madrid, lisbon, etc) and on the weekends we could offer services to holiday destinations (faro, barcelona, etc) in the same way Helvetic of switzer…

I'm trying to add a link to open up Roger Wilco to a specific channel to my webpage. I've tried the instructions on the RW webpage, but have since found out that server has been taken offline, so it no longer works. Does anyone out there have a working link that opens RW off of their webpage?

Hi,Eagle Wings Charters and Air Kentucky, both affiliated, need a fleet manager! If you would like to apply, you must first register with one or both airlines, and fly at least 5 hours for that airline. Then, we must see a screenshot of your past work, and then we will make the decision to hire you or not.If you have any questions, contact me at [email protected], or go to www.freewebs.com/ewvcharters. Thanks, and have a great day!

Virtual Frontier Airlines, www.virtualfrontier.org is pleased to announce the release of it's latest version of "RTOS", or Real Time OperationS. This feature is designed to provide our pilots with an additional level of realisim where pilots can log into the RTOS system, and book any one of Frontier Airline's Scheduled flights as either a passenger or pilot. If booking as a pilot, that pilot must fly that flight "in real time", or based on the real world schedule to the best of his ability. The RTOS system tracks the pilot's "virtual location" and updates it based on the progress of the flight he booked. Booking as a passenger allows the pilot to ride the virtual "jump se…

I am thinking about starting a VA. Its based on a real life one.I know that I should contact them and ask them for there ok first. My main question is how to some of these othere VA's get away with running a VA of a non approved nature. Like I know JetBlue and US Air dosent like VA's also Cathy Pacific is another. I know thre are a few more I won't list them all. But I do know that there are VA's running that are depicting those carriers. So what dose one do change the domain name too soming that dosent sound like the real one?. Also can they do anything about screen shots I know that some of these virtual planes look like the real deal?. I would like to know how on…

I have a friend who flies for Colgan Air on the Saab 340B and I am an avid enthusiast about Colgan Air. They fly all over the Northeast and part of the south on their B1900D's and Saab 340B's. I have lots of previous VA experience as a pilot and as management. I am looking for a web page designer. If there are any out there and are willing to set up a site for me, I would really appreciate it. I know some HTML but not enough to make a decent site. I also plan to offer an option where pilots routes will be selected automatically for them that would pertain to their availability and amount of time they can contribute to Colgan VA. This Virtual Airline would utilize PMDG's B…

WEll i know from my time in the VA side of the community a few years ago that it was hard to find a painter in a startup VA, and of course it was hard to startup without a fleet so i want to offer my services to any VA that needs assistance in setting up there fleet, i have particular in painting the BAe146 but feel i could tackle most aircraft and liveries now, To see my work search for David Fox in the file [email protected]

The arrival of Air Fresno's 6th Anniversary livery Embraer EMB-145 Regional Jet was met with fanfare and celebration. Six years ago this week Air Fresno launched a new era in virtual airlines, setting trends back then in what can only be described as the infancy of the hobby. While over the years Air Fresno closed several times the spirit of the airline never left, and this new aircraft will become the flagship of it's new Regional Development Policy. The aircraft is now available for download in the 6th Anniversary livery, and will soon be available in the standard airline livery as well. Air Fresno can be found at http://home.earthlink.net/~airfresno/

hello I've seen most VAs fly big irons, is there any VAs fly General Aviation like singles, twins? Maybe like a leasing service? Cause I thing flying big iron takes too much time planing and flying, I prefer something simpler yet as real as possible.
