I've looked for a long time for a GA VFR only and couldn't find one anywhere, almost inevitably they had airliners and I guess I understand why becasue most enjoy flying them So, since I couldn't find one, I decided to start one myself. So, yes, I started a new VA, well not really because it is not an airline but rather general aviation only, and we are a club, so I guess it is a new VGAC (virtual general aviation club) lol. Svalbard Airport is the main airport serving Svalbard in Norway. It is 5 km northwest of Longyearbyen on the west coast and is the northern most airport in the world with scheduled public flights. The first airport near Longyearbyen was constructed during World War II. In 1959, it was first used for occasional flights, but could only be used a few months a year. This month we are visiting one of the most remote and challenging international airports in the world. Paro International Airport is the sole international airport of the four airports in Bhutan. It is 6 km from Paro in a deep valley on the bank of the river Paro Chhu. With surrounding peaks as high as 18,000 ft, it is considered one of the world's most challenging airports, and less than two dozen pilots are certified to land at this airport. Telluride Regional Airport (KTEX) is a public airport six miles west of Telluride, in San Miguel County, Colorado. It is owned by the Telluride Regional Airport Authority. At an elevation of 9,078 feet (2,767 meters) above sea level, it is the highest commercial airport in North America with scheduled passenger flights. This month, we head to Tibet, and Nyingchi Mainling Airport. This is the 3rd airport built in Tibet and cost almost 100 billion US to build, officially opening in July 2006. At 2949 meters above sea level, its actually the lowest airport in the Tibet region. Known as one of the world's most difficult airports for aircraft to reach, Nyingchi Airport is situated in the valley of the Yarlung Tsangpo River in the Southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, surrounded by over 4000-metre-high (13,000 ft) mountains enveloped by clouds and fog throughout the year.
