    Are any of the large stock airports hi res and detailed such as most large cities are? I'm talking like JFK, ORD, ATL, LAX, DFW and such. Or do they all need help?

  2. I have had FSDT Geneva for many years and whilst it integrates pretty well in P3Dv4.5 the airport is on a plateau compared to the surrounding area. The difference is just over 100ft. I opened the AFCAD file using ADE but with the free version the airport altitude is not editable. Is still a problem that could be fixed with the Pro Key version?

    My system : Win 7-64, FSX Acceleration and ADE v178 Hi, I added a small "flatten" rectangular poly to a hilltop and then added an NDB NavAid and NDB Building to it. Somehow I wound up with two NDB type building objects. One of them was on the hilltop at ground level and the other was suspended 180' above ground level. While trying to fix the duplicate NDB building issue by deleting the NDB nav aid and the two buildings I was unable to delete the "suspended" NDB building or the "flatten" poly. The NDB building at ground level deleted properly as expected. Can anyone suggest how I wound up with two NDB Buildings ? I would also appreciate an…

I'm quite a novice when it comes to scenery development/addon development for flight sim, although I do have quite a bit of experience when it comes to overall programming, and I was wondering how easy/difficult/possible it would be to control scenery objects, for example hangar doors or lights, from a desktop application? I've been looking into using SODE although it seems that SODE is only really meant for use within flight sim, would anyone be able to point my research in the right direction?

    At some airports I see the airport buildings disappearing / reappearing (ie. "popping" in / out). I have read that this was a known, unsolved issue when the FSX Accel was released. I have NOT noticed the issue at many of the places that I like to fly to. But does anyone know of a cure for this disease ( other than installing P3DV4 ) . I noticed the issue tonight while flying into OEPA . Best to all, Ken Boardman

    You may have noticed that there has been a noticeable market increase in pay-ware military aircraft for FSX.     It is still a City.. Given that FSX:SE is decades old, Manchester United's football (soccer) stadium Old Trafford is fully represented in all its... glory. Manchester City's Etihad stadium is nowhere to be seen as it is rather new. Actually I don't think the old Maine road stadium was represented either.. I use the excellent IMHO VFR Real 3D scenery for the UK (photoreal scenery). The location of City's ground can clearly be seen.   11. I have a stock FSX:SE airport - it's just a runway - no objects - sitting on a little plateau. The airport elevation data is correct as per real world (3800 feet). I have Freemesh X installed and would like to get rid of the plateau and lower the runway by about 70 feet or so (my estimate which I can fine tune when I get the method sorted). So the procedure is I believe: Open up the stock airport in ADE Change the airport elevation and then compile the airport thus creating an ALT stub file (in scenery/World/scenery) Do I need to then create a background polygon - flatten mask class map exclude autogen ?     So sorry if this is the wrong place to post this since I am making scenery for P3D but the question has more to do with FSEarth Tiles itself and didn't know where else to post it. So I have been wanting to get some photoreal scenery for the Test range around Area51 for a while now and just recently found out about this program and have already got it setup and already grabbed some satellite imagery for the area which seemed to come out okay. Now I want to do the whole range if possible but have to do it in small sections at a time due to the memory limit.     Hi, I'm trying to install my new terminal for KCLT into FSX using the Instant Scenery 3. It's been a while since I've used it but my file is not showing up in the list. I've read the user's manual, and there are a lot of things that the manual does not explain well at all, and it is not in a logical order. It does not, and has never explained how to place objects created by someone. It only explains those that are default. It never goes into details about how and where to place those files created by someone to make them show up in the list.   18. I was attempting to tweak some dds texture files on some airport buildings today, and the results were unexpected. I had assumed that the _lm dds textures were simply replacement textures for the daytime ones, but it seems that some kind of blending is going on between day and night textures, that results in a brighter highlights. Is this correct? As a test I used the same texture for a yellow window glow for both night and day, and the night version was much lighter and harsher than the day version which seemed dull in comparison. I'm trying to find an explanation for this if anyone can help. Jason

  19. I've recently made an airport from scratch. It is a fictional airport. I have no faults in the fault finder of ADE but instead of using each parking spot provided, my airlines will park "through" each other at several single parking spots. However if I change the date so that all aircraft are on the field, the parking is fine and every gate is filled with a single ship. The radiuses are correct for the aircraft visiting. There are no overlapping spots. I have no clue why this is happening nor how to fix it.   21. Hi, I have the old (I say old, its not that old - 2017!) Palau Langkawi Malaysia Airport scenery for 2017 which I think is by MFSG. It works fine in FSX and FSX-SE and now that I have P3Dv4, it works fine there too. Lovely piece of island scenery ..... ..... except - there is a huge WaterClass issue that is present in all simulators. as you fly into and out of the airport towards the SW, there is a large white or clear Ocean mass that is not the same as the surrounding water.     Howdy all! I'm curious as to the feasibility of creating stand-alone FBO's for GA/Corporate Aircraft for "specific" airports in FSX/P3D. Having flown MSFS since the Sub-logic days on a Commodore 64 and just about every version since; I doubt that I've spent more than 1-hr flying aircraft over over 15,000lbs MTOW.   24. Hello, For my first try and after 4 hours of waiting, when I saw the scenery folder created, I thought it was good. By copying these BGLs in FSX and after installing my scene in the library, I fly over the place and I find nothing at all. I don't understand what's going on.

  25. I see unwanted, out of place water polygons of various sizes and shapes "popping" in and out in certain locals (Los Angeles and near Kona PHKO airport on Hawaii Island). Any tips or advice as to what causes this and how to fix it will be appreciated.
