  1. I had the huey flying over my gyrocopter and started to cause my gyrocopter to flip. it also started spinning my blades, i thought that was cool.
  2. If im not lazy, look up an approach, look up an arrival, go VOR to VOR. But stoked to have steam gauge airliner on marketplace.
  3. I raised my default view to 60% but if i hit shift keypad 0 it resets to 50%, shift spacebar to 60%. There are some planes where the top of the hud gets cutoff if not. Helpful when im using hotkeys to shift around the cockpit
  4. Quick follow up, all bugs reported and fixes must come from microsoft. Slight bummer of it being a "first party" product An update is coming soon, but i guess report bugs to msfs team?
  5. Running into a weird bug where if i start on a custom start spot the landing gear wont fully extend. if i start in a parking spot cold and dark or on the runway ready to go everything works fine. Only if i try to start ready to go or cold and dark from a custom spot. I dont get three greens and the gear comes out halfway. Also the emergency gear handle does not do anything, so you're pretty limited. Not the biggest deal in the world, but did take me awhile to pinpoint it being related to custom position start.
  6. Plane taught me a valuable pilot lesson. The pitot tube at altitude displays IAS! But the mach number takes calibrations from the pitot tube and static port to give you TAS! I thought i was flying super slow, but then it was reading mach 0.90-0.95. Ah be darn pitot tube cant display TAS in less dense air. Took me awhile to figure out how to do long hauls properly and convert IAS to TAS at altitude.
  7. So i was doing my flying around KEFD and there was someone flying a "Aerospacelines 377 NASA Pregnant Guppy". Wonder if they were using the fsx A2A captain of the ship payware in MSFS 2024? Not sure if FSX planes work in msfs 2024, but they were most definitely in the 377.
  8. Thank you, i just stumbled upon a reddit post explaining the physics of it! Would of never thought of that
  9. I have noticed wind blows my plane the opposite direction of the flag. If the wind sock is blowing left, my plane will drift right, and vice versa edit: Never mind, i just learned a physics lesson
  10. I am confused, what is wrong with VOR and ILS? I fly steam gauge
  11. Swear this is a repost? I use VOR with no issues. Rarely do i ever fly direct to a VOR. Rather i use them to get me to my next fix or VOR with a little bit of geometry. But i tend to pick most up around 45-55 miles, but i picked up GPT 100 miles out earlier.
  12. I uploaded a scenery for fsx a few months ago and it had nearly 400 downloads. The majority came from simviation. Outside of the US and europe there are tons of countries where hardware is limited and FSX is still the go to simulator.
  13. I wouldnt mind some MD to the marketplace. I wouldnt mind the Aerodynamics stuff to the marketplace as well. But one that i thought could join this list is the 377 stratocruiser. For all you prop heads and supper guppy fans.
  14. In reality you only fly so many. I feel you gotta fight the "gotta have it" urge.
  15. Well, i was pumped to finally catch a live traffic T38 landing only to find its approach speed about 110 knots lol! Silly me for trying a formation landing haha I guess not losing sleep over ai is the ticket lol
  16. Sam scenes was a life saver for xbox series s. It was heartbreaking having Houston pop in and render from about five-ten miles out. With Sam Scenes its about 30-35 miles out now. No performance or fps hit either.
  17. Sigh... i made a thread on ATC in hopes that one day it is buffed. Bummer everyone is just content with using third party
  18. What is lacking on the sayintentions and beyond atc side? I would figure a full fleshed or even semi full fleshed ATC would be possible in 2026. I am certain multiplayer integrated ATC is possible.
  19. I play with all my settings to set to low, the photogeometry in 2024 is miles ahead of msfs 2020. I am still blown away by how awesome it looks.
  20. I did hear someone on approach get directed to an intersection today. Unsure if it was live traffic or generated traffic. Gonna still say my pipe dream is to have full ground to air comms for other flights. Having it for multiplayer planes would be really sweet, i have quite enjoyed seeing other players planes.
  21. I figured this wishlist would have a new 787 on it so one doesnt need to get premium deluxe
  22. Just looked up the formula for calculating humidity. per the national physics laboratory: Relative humidity = 100 (e^(17.625(dew point in C°)/(234.04 + dew point))/(e^(17.625(temperature in C°)/(234.04 + temperature)) If dew point is 1:1, humidity is 100%. *i am not that kind of scientist
  23. Maybe i am naive, but i would think getting clearance, taxi, advisories, departures, and arrivals with other ai aircraft would be high priority in 2026 for MSFS. I feel they might be leaning a little too heavy on third party to fill the void. The marketplace user base is growing thanks to PS5 and xbox.
  24. This morning Houston, Texas or KEFD was 17 degree Celsius with dew point of 17 degrees AND humidity of 100% on the KEFD Metar. When weather is 1:1 with dew point that is 100% humidity. When liquid reaches equilibrium, and thats what creates fog. KEFD was 1/4 visibility with fog under 100% humidity conditions
