If you have the FS Dreamteam sceneries, they work without having to purchase GSX. Otherwise it's I believe five minutes of a trial period, but you can do this as many times as you'd like. The idea is to see if you can change settings to get it to perform to your satisfaction before purchasing.

I have to ask, how in blue blazes did a post made in 2004 even make its way into the FSX forums.

I guess I'm kind of curious as to how one would go about doing that. Presumably you'd have to know the operating cost of the aircraft or something or....now I'm lost....

I don't use either FSX:SE or P3D, so this actually doesn't impact me as an FS9 user, but the main point I was trying to make is that they aren't going to provide support if they haven't even tested it in one case or a known issue exists in another case. Other than that, I was actually in agreement with you in that I wouldn't buy something if they didn't offer support, either. But as was pointed out in a previous post, several people were asking about it, and others failed to read any information about the product before they bought it. The issue seems to be with some visual incompatibilities (their words) when flying at night in P3D. As for FSX:SE, they have not done much, if any, testing with it.

Sure. Also common sense not to offer support when no testing has been done and when a known issue exists, so do what you have to do. Pretty much. They're pretty much finished with that version of the 757 anyhow. Any additional work for that aircraft would be an entirely new version of the 757 rather than continued work on the existing 757.

Eh, kind of sort of. Good news is the installers were updated to allow the plane to be installed on the aforementioned platforms, but support isn't being provided for either platform. One of them has a known issue and the other hasn't even really been tested, so seems more like a use at your own risk.

Pretty sure there's already a section in the VATSIM forum where you could do this. Also, if you check the VATSIM main page for the events, it would tell you when and where events would take place, and if you fly in an event, you'll find more traffic there.

That ends up being down to personal preference. What do you want. ORD might not be good if you want all the updates in conjunction with the airport's current layout. JFK V2 came out recently, that looks like a good one if you like flying around New York.

So how do you get a feel of how the plane is supposed to handle in the air when the simulator isn't a full-motion simulator and therefore doesn't move.

Flew a full motion simulator once of I believe a King Air. Interesting experience for sure, and I still fly in FS9. Of course, I mostly fly commercial jets in the simulator, so....
