  1. Oh. Just test. It works on my 1.7.24.0. The only click that doesn't work is the "Configure" when selection the plane. I read that it could be related - for the SU5 Beta - to the Skip "Ready to fly" button" (may my Flow Pro). Didn't investigate much as the configure button works when using an Xbox controler (instead of the mouse click).
  2. Am I the only one having my MSFS2024 SU5 Beta 1.7.24.0 "modified" yesterday via Microsoft Store. I didn't click on "Verify and Repair". I'm just regularly "Check for Updates" from the Microsoft Store. Certainly after I (re)switch to DLSS v310.6 ? Surprise to see this morning my MSFS2024 back to DLSS 310.1.
  3. As far as I understand, the recent major change is the closure of the portion named "Offshore Transition" or "Shoreline transition". It was great flying at or below 500 ft directly below the departure end of San Diego Lindberg (did once in a formation flight at sunset 16 years ago). FAA had run a safety review - for months - of these low altitude VFR procedures in busy Class B. The decision seems to have been accelerated by the Washington D.C in 2025 (one military helicopter and liner). Another portion of this old-good San Diego Bay Tour was the Delta Transition : https://personalwings.com/taxiway-delta-transition-san-diego-bay-tour/ I don't know exactly when it was canceled but it seems unrelated to the PSA and FAA survey. Example of the former San Diego Bay Tour: Different area: I'm still amazed to be on a A/A frequency when exactly over LAX with the Special Flight Rules over LAX VFR Corridor 😉
  4. Thanks! It's the free Carenado Piper PA28 Dakota 236. It was offered by Microsoft among the fourth Famous Flyers. Livery is free at https://flightsim.to/addon/94526/n9181w-for-carenado-piper-dakota-2024-only
  5. I forgot to share the (real) video that inspired me for this flight. ... and some pictures I took years ago during a bay tour.
  6. Doing the best to fly as real as it gets, I wanted to experiment the last approved way in April 2026 to make the San Diego Bay tour. FAA has closed the at-or-below-500-feet below Lindberg departure, so the VFR corridor + 1'000 feet with North Islands tower + 180° at Point Loma seems to be our last chance. I picked MSFS2024 (Beta SU5 1.7.22.0), the Carenado Dakota, my Foreflight iPad app and let's go! The VFR Corridor available on the San Diego TAC Supplemental: Zoom on the track log of the Bay tour as seen from Foreflight (and some slight deviation 😉 ) Departing from San Diego Mongtomery Field (KMYF): Today, the runway 23 is active at KMYF: First leg over San Diego downtown at 3'500 ft. The (MSFS2024 Real Time) weather wasn't much cooperative for this flight: The (real time MSFS2024) weather is at the limit for this exercise: After the 180° in the south of the San Diego Bay to reach 1'000 feet, let's head north west bound to target Coronado Bridge: Over Coronado Bridge 1'000 feet: Slightly overshooting my turn when close to San Diego Lindberg (KSAN). Was attracted by liners 😉 The full track log (Foreflight with aerial map) and traffic injected by Say Intentions 180 at Point Loma to flight the Bay Tour at 1000 ft North East bound: Heading back towards San Diego Lindberg (KSAN): Three carriers at the Naval Station today: The famous Manchester Grand Hyatt, Marriot and the Convention Center. Omni is on the back, the Westin... I think I've done all of these (in real life)! Our destination today, Brown Field. Joining the (left assigned by Say Intentions) downwind runway 26L: Turning final runway 26L (approximately 😉 ) at Brown KSDM End of this discovery flight at Brown (KSDM):
  7. As posted previously https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/wake-turbulence-has-little-to-no-effect/713435
  8. Few more tests. Very hard to catch. The blue level had barely zero impact as expected. You need to get really in the hardest one to start feeling the plane shaking slightly. Intermediate conclusion: Jet blast seems to work properly. Wake Turbulence is hard to feel. You need to really be close to the plane generated it Wake Turbulence strength doesn't seems to be link to the wing lift. Hardly no (visual) difference before/after aircraft touch down or leave the ground
  9. It’s wild. I’ve been chasing wake turbulence and/or jet blast for several flights now with no luck. Right after I asked about it and gave it a second serious attempt, I finally felt jet blast! The lift of the wing aren't there as the plane has even not rotate yet. MSFS2024 SU5 1.7.22.0, just trying to line up behind this heavy taking off 24L at KLAX. Could depend on the AI model? Some circumstances? Other criteria... Next is meeting wake turbulence.
  10. Thanks @Tuskin38 I’ll engage a test campaign and will run several takeoff-behind biggest jet I can find
  11. Regarding the strength and impact to my simflying plane : does someone has already felt the impact of wake turbulence in MSFS ? I've personally never seen nor get wake turbulence effect in MSFS. I just can see the visual representation, enhanced in SU5 Beta. What about the fact that it's represented without major difference before/after rotate/touch down and not at all as I've been learnt?
  12. I have no feedback to share with the normal turbulence.
  13. Is it me of the Wake turbulence is fancy in term of visual rendering but not realistic and "little to no effect". See (and vote?) this "bug logged" one year ago, in SU2, in March 2025 : https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/wake-turbulence-has-little-to-no-effect/713435 In SU5 Beta 1.7.22.0 , we have new cool colors… but still “little to no effect”. Worst : the wake seems to be stronger after the touchdown ;( : I’m still suspicious of the visual rendering. It’s nice looking but, wake turbulence don’t change or decrease at all after the touch down of the AI plane. Same when a AI plane is taking off. No radical change after/before rotation. As a PPL, I’ve learn that the wake turbulence is totally different before/after the rotation and the touchdown. Source: https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/aim_html/chap7_section_4.html One more thing, same blue color (light strength) for a C172 as for a 737 landing. oooook…
  14. Because due to regulation, it's removed from MSFS as many military air base. Even if Toulon is mixed. Don't know on which platform you're but there're several payware/freeware substitutes.
  15. LFTH is a military airport so blurry due to local regulation.
  16. It's updated regurlarly, no ? Everytime I launch the AIG updater I have updates from dozens of airlines 😉
  17. For my usage which is VFR in US at small, medium and very large airports, the best combo I use is AIG models/liveries injected by Say Intentions. As far as I remember, SI uses a mix of airlines schedule and some live data ADS-B when available.
  18. The Navigraph survey results showing BATC ahead of SayIntentions (SI) make sense for - at least - two reasons. First, I think the data is likely biased toward IFR users, which is BATC's core strength, while their VFR support is still very (very) experimental. Second, the high cost of SayIntentions is a significant barrier for many. As a user of both programs who flies strictly VFR, the price gap and IFR focus definitely skew those numbers.
  19. As far as I remember and if we're talking of the same problem, the mod that I implemented was to skip the "Ready to Fly" button. Is that the same you're talking about ? If Yes, the mod was to modify base.bundle.js ("C:\XboxGames\Limitless\Content\Packages\fs-base-ui\html_ui\Global\pkg\base.bundle.js") but the 1.7.21 has a different format. Are we on the same page? Am I the only one with a different base.bundle.js file in 1.7.21 ?
  20. Nice find. I do have this addon as well. Will test, thanks!
  21. Same here with the PC keyboard. But it works, if I use my Xbox controller and press X.
  22. Just updated 1.7.21.0. My first SU5 Beta. Add to set new Tobii settings. Thanks to all for this discussion. Here'se mine. Not 100% satisfied. Too much sensitive. But really appreciate the possible to adjust settings forward/backward
  23. Yep, could be the bet of the day. Will update (because I have free time ahead) and bet that it'll be the same as the public release.
  24. For me, it’s 100% General Aviation, specifically the flying club planes I can actually afford to fly in real life. I stick strictly to the C172, DR400, Cirrus, and PA28. I know it might seem strange since a simulator lets me fly anything, anywhere, but I prefer keeping it grounded in my reality. Call me eccentric if you want, but that’s how I love to (sim)fly.
  25. MSFS Addons Linker has an option in its Tools menu to scan for duplicate scenery with the same ICAO code (Tools - Scan ICAO / Check for Duplicate). I would love to have a tool that relies on something different that just the ICAO code and maybe the coordinate to check overlapping.
