February 23Feb 23 Wonderful news update. Keenly interested in the A340-600. Frankfurt to Hong Kong...I did (FRA->HKG) in the PMDG 777F very recently. It's not a little trip...🙂...curious about what the twist is... Thanks a lot...! Edited February 23Feb 23 by P_7878

February 24Feb 24 Yes, another one…🙂… In its defense, this (quad-jet) Airbus variant is as iconic to the Airbus family as the 744 is to the Boeing family. It has been the longest length commercial airliner only surpassed by the 748. After 25 years, it’s still flying today. An A346 is scheduled to leave ORD for FRA in 6 hours, and another arrived there earlier; it has been flying such routes for 25 years…without a single fatality…(true for the entire A340 family)… So, it’s good to have this one in MSFS, of course, true only if one is a quad-jet Airbus fan…🙂…otherwise not so much… Edited February 24Feb 24 by P_7878

Thanks a lot...! hahaha! me too! perhaps the "jump to next waypoint" feature like in XP12, or the ability to jump 100nm during cruise for saving time, the feature is supposed to do all the calculations after the jump, say burned fuel, etc. Alexander Colka

I use 2x/4x sim rate, which, of course, has got its own issues, but, at least, I get to experience the sunset and sunrise etc., en route, from 35,000 ft…🙂…spectacular indeed…
February 24Feb 24 Author Aah...remember: That Taverner is always lurking somewhere 😄 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'
February 24Feb 24 Was following the stream in the background while working. Looked good. And seemingly all went well - apart from the planned diversion. No CTDs or anything. Looking forward to more reviews Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

And Lufthansa has already tolled the bell for it, pending the replacement 787-900 for their fleet will be delivered. They started to decommision them in January and it now only remains on flights to Boston and New York. Edited February 24Feb 24 by Farlis

Looking forward to more reviews Agree, @DAD. I could not view the stream fully live, but did go through most of it now; will do another pass through, later on. Beautiful SIM. The cockpit brings out its legacy spirit rather well, that of an old and battered workhorse, but still very much alive and kicking…though its days are clearly numbered. The pop-up (cockpit) displays will be welcome by many simmers, including myself; it reminded me of the old Aerosoft Airbus pop-out (view) options, of my FSX days, which they pioneered, I think. The cabin seems good too. The new look EFB will be nice to use. I flew first on the 346 with LH 20+ years ago, and then on and off for a couple of decades. They would sometimes board us away from the gates, by air stairs, taking us to it by bus. It was such an incredibly long and thin airplane, I will always remember. Looking forward to getting it when it is available, irrespective of further reviews…🙂… (And the un-expected diversion was expected, I guess, under the circumstances ...🙂...) All true, @Farlis, but those considerations do not take away anything from my affection for this aircraft…🙂…whether it is (or will be) flying in the RW or not. Somewhat similar to the 747-400…Most of us (airliner fans) will buy the PMDG 744, whenever it is available in MSFS, even if the last such quad-jet has stopped flying and been replaced by one of the ultra-modern twin jets, with, of course, due respect for the latter kind and their advanced technology.
