February 10Feb 10 During a flight, no matter what aircraft, but mostly with the commercial jetliners that I fly, the airspeed needle drops to zero. The Shift +Z display on top of the screen also shows zero speed. Then a few minutes later, the speed is shown again, and this reoccurs. The only way I can see how fast I'm going is the ground speed shown on the GPS. Why is this happening? Eytan Ornstein

February 11Feb 11 Sounds like ice in the pitot tube. As Charliearon said, turn on the pitot tube heat. February 19Feb 19 Look for the Probe/window heat button, center of the overhead electrical panel, just above the switches for the lights and APU.
