Air China 787 on a small airport in germany

Featured Replies

Hello,

just for my understanding how it comes that a 787 from Air China and a KLM 737 stands on general apron in EDXW ( Westerland/Sylt) airport in Germany. This airport doesnt have only a small apron for A320 and a larger one for GA aircrafts. And non of these airlines operates to this airport. I had this observation also in LOWS where  a A380 from Etihad parked on the general aviation sector.

Thx in advance for a explanation

Mark

I observe similar phenomenon
I’m getting big airliner from FedEx at Ramona KRNM  small GA Airport
I’m suspecting it has parking spots for big enough plane but how do I manually adjuste it
It looks real silly

What is your model matching depth set to? Try 2.

Whenever you see weird aircraft like that, check your psxt log and it will show you what it is seeing, the matching level as well as what it is using in it's place.

As mentioned above though, matching on 2 is my preferred setting but I've also got nearly 13,000 liveries.

I've seen similar things happen. Looking through the log file and the airport files, I found that aircraft overflying the airport while I was parked there, were saved by PSXT in the airport files as parked aircraft.

Yes, that maybe the cause. Wrong RT data in the weekly download , for instance a very low altitude for an overflying Air China and PSXT will add it, as soft option, to the airport file.

To prevent this you could uncheck Soft  in the airport parking area of the UI.
