Frame Gen is not an option available in 2024 Graphics

Featured Replies

Friday, Nov 22 Frame Gen was working perfectly on my 2024 sim.  Saturday Frame Gen is not even listed as an option in Graphics.

I used DLSS Swaper to verify 3.8.10.0 is in the folder with FlightSimulator2024.exe.  I then copied the .dll from the Flight Sim 2020 folder because FG works perfectly in MSFS 2020.

Still - no FG option in 2024.

Then used DLSS swapper to revert to 3.7.20.0 in both 2024 and 2020.  FG works fine in 2020 but not available in 2024.

I am running the 566.14  nVidia RTX3060Ti driver that is recommended for 2024.

I see lots of discussion of this problem but can't seem to find any solutions to the problem.

Frame Generation aside, something is off with 3.8.10. Even in MS2020 it is not working properly in that you cannot set Ultra Quality option. I went back to 3.7.xx . Either it needs an update (bug fix) or it has gone backwards in functionality.

You can follow this video - Assuming you haven't already. These were the steps to get the frame gen appear for myself in 2024 while using a 3000 series card.

Vote to fix transparent  sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

Unless I'm mistaken, the frame gen option only shows up in game for 4000 series cards.

Thank You!  I had forgotten to move the version.dll into the 2024 folder - now works perfectly.
