Not expecting miracles, just hoping to see a noticeable improvement in the areas we all know need improving.

REX seem to be getting really good results in MSFS2020, so it shouldn't take any miracles from Asobo to improve things like this in MSFS2024.

I see more than noticeable improvements, in clouds, lighting, seasons, snow, trees and mindblowing graphics close to the ground.

I dont see any need for REX at all in the new sim. Heck, I didnt even buy the seasons pack from them because I knew It would be taken care of in the future. Ok, had to wait 4 years, but  now im happy I saved the money. No way in hell im gonna buy that Atmos thing, when it will be pretty much useless in a few weeks…If people want to waste money on that cash grab, be my guest…

  • Actually no... I was pretty much amazed by what I saw once it was installed on my PC. Looked kinda like the previews.

  • The more I see these comparisons the more impressive MSFS 2024's visuals are... starting off with the graphics of Sublogic FS on the Commodore 64 to now have the whole digital earth as our sandbox rep

  • Except in this case we are not just looking at produced videos by MS but also going by what all these various press and social media folks have actually seen with their eyes and used on test builds. A

If we were to stop asking for more then we'll never progress, I don't want that, I want progression and with reference to the discussion at hand Clouds can certainly be an area for improvement, not stuck in limbo as has been the case since they got worse in the SU5/6/7 period.

I don't think we should stop asking for more. I just feel we often don't seem very grateful for what we have.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Each individual will decide what is a waste of money or what is worth it to improve the sim for them, whatever the length of time it is used.

Exactly! It's called personal freedom of choice. I don't need anyone to tell me to feel free to do what I want! 😁

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
