PSXT Performance issues

Featured Replies

I took a break from PSXT for a while but started back using it again.  Has anyone experienced it causing stutters?  If so, what are some settings that i can try to get a better performance?  Thanks!

I tend to use 40-58%, Max fit 4, no soft parking unless the airport has very poor QF and definitely no Fake. Model Matching on 2 but I also have nearly 13,000 liveries. If you have stutters, best to try with reduced % and see. What are you using for AI aircraft?

AIG with PSXT and Real Traffic

Good, I only asked because users that have FSLTL get hit harder as those models are only 2 LOD's and 4k textures. They often think it performs better but that is only because there's a lot less aircraft.

What are your current settings in PSXT?

What are your current settings in PSXT?

Scan for liveries - automatic and STUB

Scan for addon airports

Max Aircraft matching depth - 4

traffic injection range - 40 / auto range

collision avoidance

airport parking 30%  / soft

that is about all i see checked in the specs

I now have blinking landing gear for all AI generated aircraft, I do have Frame Generation on and with it off same issue

30% with Soft parking can still end up with quite a few aircraft but it shouldn't make that much of a difference. Try it with Soft parking unchecked as those are parked in the wrong spots as it is and see how it goes. Keep track as well of how many parked live and static you average. They all add up.

Live traffic hits really hard. On my meager system I have to limit live traffic to 20-40, but lately the limit doesn't seem to work. Had Max Live set at 20 yesterday at KLAX and had 25 live parked and 47 live (I assume airborne/taxiing).

Did you have ILO checked? If so MaxLive is disabled.

What kind of stutters? Microstutters or bigger asynchronous stutters?

Hmm, what do you mean by that? A light in the landing gear?
