March 31, 20242 yr You had 20 years of experience .. Yet You made an immediate link that a CPU is going to cause interference to a DAC and was going to cancel purchase ... completely disregarding the following factors as a possible cause .. The Chipset / The Motherboard / The Quality of the Dac / The interface (if the dac is external) / The software component (the drivers) /.. What i just posted as possible causes are platform agnostic and can happen on intel or amd systems .. You have 20 years and NEVER worked through any of these issues ? I take it all back.. You have been building perfect and flawless machines .. Keep doing what your doing ... March 31, 20242 yr I had an asus MB for a 12900 build i did. I spent months trying all sorts of various fixes. Had numerous sound and weird popping issues. I also run numerous USB home cockpit devices thru a couple industrial high power USB hubs. Occasionally was having weird issues with that too. I wasn't alone on the problem, as I found a few dozen others out there with the same issues. (Non flight simmers) Ultimately I made the tough choice to deconstruct my 6 month build and sold the MB/Memory/CPU. Got a good enough price that I was able to come to terms with it. Luckily on my current 5800X3d build, the problems have disappeared entirely. My guess is, I had some kind of defect on my MB. But with Asus's track record with RMA, it would have been a major uphill better to resolve. My point posting this is that I don't think we can jump into a debate about one manufacturer of a board vs another. Much less different CPU's. Finally. As a mod. Gentlemen. Treat each other nicely or don't post at all. It's ridiculous to end up in a state of insulting others merely discussing something like computer hardware. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
April 1, 20242 yr Hmm- my next cpu upgrade post MSFS2024 looked like being an AMD7800x3d and now I come across this thread - I will watch this space with interest. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

So far in this poll 10% say its there and persistent and 90% no. Too be fair, your 10% is 1 person, lol.
