Winglet part of TDS Boeing 737-MAX8 shows black texture

Featured Replies

Hello and happy new year all,

I have downloaded the Ryanair Boeing 737-8 MAX (EI-HGH)  from library.avsim.net but when I fly the plane, the winglet part of the plane shows a black texture. Anyone know how to fix it?

I would really appreciate any help! Thanks. 😀

Here is an image of my problem:

Looks like a missing texture since it is a separate file that controls the winglets.

Check in your texture folder that both TDS737MAX2015_WINGLET_T.bmp and TDS737MAX2015_WINGLET_L.BMP exist and that the _T.bmp file shows the correct Ryanair livery (can be checked in File Explorer).

If in doubt, download again from Avsim.

Thanks for the reply.

I looked into my Texture folder and both both TDS737MAX2015_WINGLET_T.bmp and TDS737MAX2015_WINGLET_L.BMP exist. I don't think that is the problem.

If I found the correct download, did you also try the V3 texture?

Thanks for the reply. The V3 texture does not work on my TDS 737-MAX8 model as I have the V2 model. I will have to download the V3 TDS 737-MAX8 for that to work.

OK, what about the aircraft.cfg file?

Did you copy the relevant section from the readme file over to your installed aircraft?

It should read like this according to the read me included in the zip package:

title=FREEWARE_(C)_TDS_16AUG2013_738MAX_LEAPX1B--P2WM_+A1200_+D40_+B0 Ryanair EI-HGH

If this is the case, try this title instead in the aircraft.cfg file (you may just want to comment out the original title and insert the suggested one below underneath it) :

title=FREEWARE_(C)_TDS_16AUG2013_738MAX_LEAPX1B--P2WM_+A4000_+D00_+B0 Ryanair EI-HGH

See if this solves the winglet texture issue. I took this info from another TDS 737max livery download.

Nevermind.

I tried the V3 texture and It worked with the V3 model. The winglet texture is solved and is now showing the good old Ryanair 737 max winglet. Thanks a lot for the help guys. 😃
