Landing tyre smoke effects

Featured Replies

Now here comes a little surprise. I switched PSXT to the FSLTL configuration, recreated the liveries and made a first check to see if it's properly working without any further modification. And guess what? Tyre smoke is there out of the box.

(sorry for the poor pic, that's from VR). I didn't expect this, but voila, it's certainly welcome. So I didn't see a need for further experiements right now, but thanks for your effort. Looks the same as with the fslts injector (which I didn't launch, of course).

Kind regards, Michael

Oh now I understand. You were wishing to have the smoke effect for AIG models , not FSLTL.  Well, glad it worked for you with FSLTL.

Can you please share your FX.xml file ? I don't see the effect with the FSLTL injector nor with PSXT. I had to tweak FX.xml file to make them work. Also, are you using the last updated model (v1.2.0) ?

The effect looks a little exaggerated indeed. From a distance, you can't tell if it's touchdown effect or the plane is on fire 😄, but at least it's there.

My FSLTL models for this test were 1.2.1. This is the FX.xml file:

That's pretty to the point. Anyway, it seems to be quite new, they might optimize it, I don't recall having seen the effect before.

Hi Michael,

Your FX.ZIP file still works for the 1.3.1 models?

I tried your file and change the parameters.xml to prioritize FSLTL models, but I don't see the touchdown smoke effect.
