Exactly. I was replying to Bob, and Bob only. He said he downloaded X-Plane for the first time. As a first timer, I thought it would be courteous to post a brief description of what was happening and that LR were aware of the problem, along with my own personal opinion.

And we're aware it's hard for others to comprehend the concept of "They're working on it." But we still tolerate it. I don't know how many different ways you want to see a reply that means "They're working on it." But I'll do my best to accomodate you. Edited December 26, 20223 yr by GoranM

I think it's hard for you to accept that others expect more and are disappointed by the state of the sim, and would wish that nobody criticized it. There are places where critics are banned, but as long as Laminar releases a product with the promise of things that will be fixed and implemented, critics will exist. Quote You must be a first time X-Plane user because you have NO IDEA how X-Plane is developed, and you won't even listen to what people are trying to tell you! I'm an x-plane user since v.10. I am quite aware of the way x-plane is developed. That doesn't mean I fully agreee with it. Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

Have you read and even understood all my posts in this thread? I've acknowledged that XP12 has AA issues. I've said LR have acknowledged XP12 has AA issues. I've told you they are working on it. We all know there are people who are disappointed in a few issues in this first stable release. What you don't know is that every single version of X-Plane has been like this. I've been a commercial developer for 13 years. I've listened to criticisms from the first day of my first products release. I've addressed almost all of them. You can criticise, but I don't understand why you continue when I've told you that LR have acknowledged the issue and are working on it. Where do you want me to go from there? If you want an instant fix, right now...You're obviously not going to get it. Laminar have a bug reporting form. That, in itself, is them acknowledging there are problems with every version, and they want to fix those problems. Edited December 26, 20223 yr by GoranM
December 26, 20223 yr V10 to me is still a first-time user... So if you know how X-Plane works why are you looking for an argument, you should also know AA was an issue even in version 10! These details matter in getting the issue resolved. Be precise on the issue - dont assume the cause, leave that to LR. tangentially related example:people blaming the autopilot for the 744 falling out of the sky, when the actual cause was the ap being unable to cope with them increasing its wieght by 100tons per second while in flight- I wasted days trying to diagnose the AP problem there before finding out the real cause. Same thing here calling it an AA issue, if LR waste time trying to figure out what is wrong with the AA when the issue is nothing to do with AA then we all end up worse off. So the excuse of "Have faith, Laminar is working on it", becomes a weak consolation. If AA was buggy in XP10 and XP11, how can we trust that only today they will fix a bug they never managed to fix in previous years? I remember very well what was written 4 years ago on the forums.https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/194496-very-bad-anti-aliasing/ Customers were complaining about XP11's bad AA, and there was always someone trying to console them with the typical phrase "don't worry, they're working on it". The same consolatory phrase was written for the dark panels: "don't worry, they're working on it". We have all seen the result: XP11 has always been buggy with AA, lights, shadows, etc, nobody fixed anything. So the question is quite legitimate and justified: What makes you believe that laminars can fix the AA today? Is it because Laminar will only be able to fix it today when (technically) they could do it earlier in XP10 and 11? [Pc Intel i3-4160 3,6 GHz, 8 GB di RAM, GeForce RTX-3060 12 GB, Win10 Home 64 bit]
