December 26, 20223 yr Quote The same can be said of MSFS. 2 years post release, they still have a plethora of issues to fix. It's admirable that you, and others, hold Laminar to such a high standard, that they are expected to push out a final, bug free, stable release in the first version, right after a 3 months early access/release candidate run, but that just won't happen, with any software or any company. I don't care about other simulators. Tried MSFS, didn't like it, stayed with x-plane. On the other hand, I'll keep mentioning that no one said this should be a bug free release. This isn't even a bug per se, but a poorly implemented feature of lack thereof. Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

December 26, 20223 yr Quote AA is working, the jaggies are not single pixels that get fixed by AA. AA is working, just poorly, badly and not as expected for a modern game released in 2022. Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

So we're circling back to the original problem. The 1 element. Poorly implemented AA. Then the solution is simple. If it's poorly implemented, and you have valuable and productive feedback, and it bothers you to the point of having to have it fixed asap, report it. If you don't want to report it, rest assured it will be reported, and/or fixed in a future update. There's no point going on about it in a forum that Laminar don't come to. What I'm trying to point out is this isn't a simple "AA isn't working" issue, AA, as far as I have seen is doing exactly what it is designed to do, Turn into something more is going on. I am aware this is hard to comprehend for some. Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉

What's the point of having forums? I don't mind discussing the issue. It becomes a problem when the discussion turns into a 3 page back and forth. When all it could be is "Laminar know about it and they're working on it." "Excellent. Thanks" "You're welcome!" When it starts diverging into Laminar's business practises, that's when I smh. Austin started X-Plane on his own, with about 40 lines of code. And it's grown ever since. He's obviously done something right. Edited December 26, 20223 yr by GoranM

Quote AA looks perfectly acceptable to me. Quote It’s no different to any other software. 1 element doesn’t define the whole thing. Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

The photos correspond to the level of AA, from none to 8xMSAA. The jagged lines are there, from no AA to FXAA there seems to be a difference but none after that (at least none that I can see). So either AA simply doesn't do anything beyond FXAA or it's something else. Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12
