Allow me to add a few items.
You need to provide a "Present Position" because the INS in a Concorde for example is unable to compute Longitude.  It can "only" compute latitude, then it starts to compute aircraft heading / True North.  A coarse alignment ("gyro spin up") immediately starts when you put the Delco INS into "Align". However fine alignment needs a "present position" input from the crew.

Alignment itself is all about utilizing accelerometer ouput and earth's rotation force.

  • make accelerometers register zero gravity (or up/down motion), by aligning the gyro stabilized platform so the accelerometers are parallell to Earth's surface.
  • The accelerometers will now commence to register earth's rotational force -
  •

Final note: Airplane acceleration is sensed by accelerometers mounted on the gyro stabilized platform not the actual gyroscopes itself.

The gyroscopes job is to keep the platform level at all times -

Up to FL280, OK

Reheats after Accel point were on to Mach 1.7, I didn't time it, but hit 1.7 at FL445.

Reheats off, MAX CLB and hit Mach 2 at FL505.

Only issue is the ISA, it is showing -57 with an outside temp of -56.  It almost seems like a calculation error in the display rather than the actual number.

We’re talking pretty small differences Mark. Regarding the ISA that may be clarified by the developer. As I don’t have MSFS I can’t test things myself.

We found the ISA bug, just a line error of code, fixed now for a small update next week. So far, nothing horrible on the bug front has been reported, mostly just some folks having difficulty in getting the autopilot to cooperate and some fuel transfer issues. I also cocked up the Interactive Checklist and put the EPU switch "off" entry in the wrong place, also fixed now. Not bad though, two line-code errors in 20,000 lines 🙂

In extreme windy conditions, a full alignment could be impossible to achieve at the gate due to excessive motion of the aircraft. The INS is that sensitive. 🧐

I just watched this, and lost count of the number of user errors as he hadn't even glanced at the manual. There are a couple of errors on my part with switch interactive points not locating the correct switches, but as Mark has posted here and many, many users online have proven conclusively, Concorde works correctly. So, not a disaster at all. And why do people use the drone camera to move about? This shows the interior of LOD01 ( low poly ) models, hence the simple seats - you're supposed to walk about to view the interior using the keypad arrows, which confines you to the correct interior model.

I was referring to the video, the producer of the video, and the way he demonstrated his ability to use the add-on and NOT THE DC Design CONCORDE.

I'm sorry if I was not clear.

I'm now in sim heaven thanks to MSFS 2024 and hundreds of add-ons!

LOL! Sorry, I did think that you were saying the Concorde was a disaster! Relieved to be sure. I think that the guy fumbled about a lot and made his followers think Concorde was indeed not very good, but so far it's the only negative review I've seen and mostly his own fault ( I hope I'm not jinxing myself there ).

Most of these video creators are just looking for more exposure and some donations. He should have focused on doing some research and on creating better content, instead of disparaging an add-on that was evident that he could not handle.

I honestly think that even his settings or computer have to be changed. At times it was a slideshow. That's what I meant with "disaster." I was also responding to "Three hours of video with zero preparation by Rusty Dog! Still shaking my head!" by Doering.

What a disaster.

I thought you were referring to Rusty Dogs singing, I stopped watching this video after about 5 minutes as I thought I had strayed into a Eurovision Song contest rehearsal.

Yes, I was very pleased with the performance up to Mach 2.0.

One request based on all the videos and reviews. Please up the quality of the textures as high as possible.

VC looks ok, but everything else is not so eye candy.

Thanks.

Is there already an ETA for the store version?

Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉

Please do not laugh but having purchased Concorde this morning and diligently speed reading through the manual, I have not been able to take off as I cannot work out for the life of me how to set up my Thrustmaster Airbus TCA to operate more than just two engines 😞 Does anybody know of an 1diots Guide to achieving this please?

Sorry guys! For entertainment purposes only! Three hours of video with zero preparation by Rusty Dog! Still shaking my head!

Two minutes in and I hear “I don’t even know if I can get it off the ground”. 🤨

Followed by Paris to Milan test flight. That would be subsonic but something tells me he will ignore that.

As you say Doering, purely for entertainment purposes. Please do not follow his instructions. It won’t end well.
