December 31, 20214 yr But not involving animals. My daughters friend went back to the UK and was present when somebody became unwell. Vomiting, unconscious, really bad state, wouldn't wake up. So they rang an ambulance. The ambulance people on the phone asked if he was breathing. They responded yes, he was. So the response was, okay then, we cant come out of he's breathing, the ambulance will come but it could be 7 HOURS! I was stunned! Edited December 31, 20214 yr by martin-w
December 31, 20214 yr Administrators Kind of an odd response to a potential life threatening situation! In the U.K, is an ambulance the same as calling Paramedics? Here in the USA most ambulances are for transporting between hospitals while paramedic units come for life saving and emergency transport to a hospital. Yes, our ambulances are like your paramedics and trained to provide medical aid on the spot. Ive never heard anything like this before, utterly astonishing.
