now you mention P3D and a very classic ship - did you ever check the Classic Ship Package we uploaded in January - it is only FSX/P3D for the moment.

They are superb, Henrik and they work in MSFS too 🙂🙂

They look at least for me so much nicer than their modern counterparts

Btw, some of your modern ships have texture issues after the latest MSFS update

1) how did you install the Classics in MSFS....? I think we got all the textures converted before launching the classic package, but I am not sure - my own ships should work as they were all done on DDS basis, but some might have bmp textures and should not work... Can't remember.

2) the texture issue - how did you update for SU5? taking out files from community? Taking out the CVT? And which settings do you have for AI - in particular the one for using Generic models? Do you have LittleNavMap? Can you identify the ship? Logically nothing points to issues with a particular ship, but this issue one of our beta testers also saw - and in the first place we believe it to arise from the generic AI setting. But we will investigate later in the week.

@bernd1151 I have to say I love this screenshot.

The ship was built by Sietas in Rendsburg, Germany in the early sixties as one of the Type 33 series - many of them still sail. Just weeks ago I saw one in my hometown in Denmark. The remaining are of course also in the Modern package - here one of them passing under the Farø bridge in Denmark

Here are my settings in MSFS:

To 1: That was not so difficult. I used your original P3D folder.

a.    First I created in the Community folder a folder called Global_AI_Classic_Ship_Traffic.

b.    Inside this folder I created a folder called SimObjects

c.    Into this folder I placed your classic ship folder and renamed it aircraft, in which all your classic ships are located

d.    The I borrowed the layout and manifest file from you AI_Ship MSFS folder and placed it inside the main Global_AI_Classic_Ship_Traffic below SimObjects

e.    I then placed the MSFSLayoutConverter inside this folder too and just dragged your original layout file into the MSFSLayoutConverter, so that is was rewritten

f.     That was it, all your classic ships show up in MSFS

To 2: Btw, none of these classic ship textures are corrupted textures (because you use only DDS as basis). This only happened after updating to SU5 with some of the modern ships in your Global_AI_Ship_Traffic. After I had my MSFS updated tot he latest build, I just took out the CVT folder and let MSFS rewrite it

Here are some ships I found in the city of Kiel. They were used by the Kiel scenery developer Michael Walter. Some of these might be from Erwin Welker and not yet converted to DDS standard

This one I found in the Baltic Sea, together with a tall ship. Unfortunately the tall ship managed to escape before I was able to take a picture 😊

Try to turn off Generic Plane Models and refly over Kiel. The ships in Kiel are mine and the textures are switched around between models - you can see the name Diamant on the cruise ship. Diamant is a small coaster.

Hmmh... I restarted MSFS and turned off Generic Plane Models, yet, these ships still look the same:

Thanks - SU5 really did a great job... Will have to see, when I get back - and meanwhile hope for a hotfix because seems this is just one of many unfortunate issues brought up by the update.

Hmm, I haven't seen anything like that yet. I'll keep looking.

I did notice that 'AI_F215_Brandenburg_Simdocks' isn't rendering correctly

What time of day? So I can try and see the same set of ships

That was at around 11pm, but as these ships appear to be stationary, I think you'll be able to see them at any time

You need to have the Kiel scenery by developer Michael Walter installed! You'll find it at the .to site

There are more, but this one gives you the ships, so you can see for yourself.

Well the none of the ones it added are messed up for me. It doesn't have the larger ones in your pictures. Now I did recently do a complete reinstall of the sim (deleting all files/folders) and regenerated the models with Su5. So maybe one of those things fixed/prevented it from happening.
