New ATC and Airport Operations Application Testing

Featured Replies

this is quite a nice DLL. thanks for your work!

Does it work even the ATCAPI windows is closed? ( If I just want to use the blocking features?)

What a great program...

Any chance the airport data could be set for different wind directions? i.e. at JFK when the wind is 180; appr Canarsie onto 13L and VOR/RNAV onto 22L, TO on 13R and 22R. Wind 350 then TO 4L and 31L, landing ILS 4R and 31R. Maybe set a preferred configuration for when the wind is less than x kts.

We could then share the configurations of airports (could each airport have it's own xml file?).

What do you think?

Thanks! Yes it does. You can close the GUI manually and or change the XML to <isGUIVisible>0</isGUIVisible>

I could read wind info from PDK and apply a rule? I will start coding something to include it in next builds. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Federico,

First of all, let me THANK YOU that you brought a program that was very needed to those people's lives that fly offline and wanna make sure traffic is landing the direction they are supposed (just like in real life). Very happy for this little program! 🙂🙂

Here is a suggestion: would it be possible to have the program integrated into P3D's menu just like GSX or FSUIPC does it, so there isn't another program constantly open on the taskbar. Some of us run other external programs that litter the taskbar full of their stuff and so on... Yes I do admit, I do have little bit of OCD and wanna keep things organized but I believe it could be a great idea 😀😉

Once again well done for this program and keep up the amazing work.

Kind regards,

Balint

Thanks for the feedback! Yes an insim menu could be a possibility. I will check options, for sure P3Dv5 has new HTML capabilities. I will work on an alternative interface.

Should work with HF1 P3D v5.1. Thanks

I have been waiting for something like this for so long!

Can't wait to test it out.

Let us know if there's a place we can donate to support you in bringing something like this to the community!

Ok I just got done testing at KIAD and KSFO and I believe this tool is a legitimate game-changer. I disabled the flap control as I see a few had problems with it.

One thing that's always been difficult to achieve prior to this tool is multiple different types of configurations for AI in one AFCAD file. I actually go through having multiple different files for different types of wind-configs. I think that might become a thing of the past.

I usually have takeoffs on 30 and landings on the parallel runways at KIAD which is fairly common practice. During the late afternoon rush though there can be a huge lineup at RWY 30 because of how slowwwww planes can be to line-up. Happy to see the line-up was drastically reduced as that lineup time is now a lot more realistic. Line-up and go FTW!

Then I went to KSFO. One thing that is always tough there is that heavies need to takeoff on 28L and this runway is also used for landings. I have seen so many times planes time-out and disappear after holding short because they are stuck with planes landing. Absolutely love how they are now able to line-up after a plane lands and before it vacates. MUCH more realistic.

Ultimately, as i said, this tool is a gamechanger. Even if you don't use the airport-specific tools, the added quick-lineup and lineup-after-landing features are must-haves for people (like me) who fly with AI enabled.

A couple suggestions/comments:

1. Obviously, the ability to set multiple airports in the XML would be a HUGE plus to be able to set-up departure and arrival airports before a flight.

2. SID/STAR control would be great, though I think that's a completely different thing then what you've accomplished here.

3. Pushback control (more realistic), though again I would think that would be out of scope.

Very excited by this. What MS/Lockheed haven't done in years, you've managed to bring to the community. Outstanding work.

Regarding 1), I am looking to have more flexibility on the configuration of the tool, so I am working on multiple ICAOs, and some rules on runway selection upon winds.

STARs could be coded with P3D approaches and transitions. What do you think?

SIDs are on the way, being coded at the moment.

Regards,

Federico

Hi

Since updating to V5 HF1 I am experiencing CTD's due to the program. It can be easily reproduced if you select a different time upon loading up the sim at any airport then changing time to any time you wish or just placing yourself somewhere else on the planet.

Kind regards,

Balint

Ok thanks. Let me check this with P3Dv5 HF1. I will revert back. Thanks

This is really good! Looking forward to be able to set more than one ICAO.
