For those still not convinced by the clouds

So another opinion is aggressive according to you ... ?

Regarding the clouds indeed they look too unsharp. Like TrueSky in P3D. Looking at MSFS vids on my 4K 47” tv shows it very clearly.

Here I have a full-size cockpit with a 86” frontview. In P3D I use the “cartoonish” clouds which at least look sharp :

First of all awesome simpit.

But are those P3D clouds supposed to look good? The moment there's any movement, they fall apart.

A few places. One of them is no movement in the wisps on top from about 0:10 to 0:27. They look like a great picture of clouds.

Oh that. In total it looks great and sharper than those EA and MSFS soft soft clouds from within my cockpit.

Hopefully Asobo at one side and LM on the other side are able to come up with sharper cumulus/cumulonimbus clouds ..

There‘s always room for improvement but the weather in MSFS is one of the most convincing aspects of the sim if you ask me. Yesterday I was watching a live stream of a full flight by a real world A320 pilot and he couldn’t but confirm that the weather looked incredibly realistic. I have never seen anything like that in another sim. Of all the things in MSFS that could do with a bit of polishing, for me personally, clouds are pretty much of the lowest priority.

The full flight is at the end of the video.I can‘t remember when exactly as it‘s a rather long video but it was somewhere at cruise altitude, maybe at around 3:39. And it‘s in German.

The „I have never seen anything like that“ wasn‘t a reference to this particular video but a general statement from what I’ve seen so far.

If the clouds aren't as nice as everyone would like them, MSFS has some great rain shafts.  Not something you're likely to see with Active Sky Cloud Art. 😄

I have never seen such realistic clouds in any sim prior. They look amazing.

And they are in out of the box! 😅

Okay, I've been following this. Personally I like the look of the clouds. I do agree there could be some work done, but they really look nice to me.

Now my other question, didn't they say on the live stream there would be no Cumulonimbus clouds?  I can't see how they would not include those considering they are a major part of most cloud formations....I mean in Georgia I see those pretty much everywhere.

I'm not quite sure how 3rd party devs could help. I know the SDK isn't out yet but I can't fathom how they would inject the missing clouds into the game given the new tech.

I Luv the clouds.

You mean cirrus right? They will add more cloud types in the World updates. They wanted to get the weather simulation right first it seems.
