August 5, 20205 yr Empty sports stadiums just like real life. Wonder if they will fill the stadiums when things get back to normal 🙂 "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ
August 5, 20205 yr Don't show @MatthewS this video! The MASSIVE trees on the Vegas strip may be too much for him 🤣 (Yes, Matthew. I believe Asobo has acknowledged that it needs to be fixed) Edited August 5, 20205 yr by snglecoil Chris
August 5, 20205 yr I hope there is an edit to remove the word "decimal from comm to and from ATC, and perhaps multi play. ATC communications sounds like the portion of a video game programmed by someone with no knowledge of aviation communication. At one point over Portland you can see a red car drive off of one of the bridges..... LOL! May be better than heading into downtown Portland these days. Not a political statement. Just reality. Wonder if it is for security. Have to imagine there is some concern about too much realism in some specific areas of the world. Recalling 911. The mall is an area where flight is prohibited. The closest to that is the river visual approach into KDCA. I think the decimal thing is largely a European thing. According to their phraseology, they'll say "decimal" when issuing a frequency, whereas in the US (and I assume in many other places), they'll say "point." As Asobo is a French company, it rather makes sense it was incorporated this way. But I also noticed they'll say "decimal" when issuing altimeter settings, which I'm not sure is even done in Europe. At least in the US, it should just be given as a string of four numbers without any mention of "point" or "decimal." It could use some tweaking though, I agree. 54 minutes ago, fppilot said: Wonder if it is for security. I think it just comes down to the imperfections of the Azure interpreting the satellite data, and the developers simply not having enough time to develop custom models for all these important landmarks (as we see with the lack of the London Eye, for instance). That said, I do think it's interesting how the AI managed to interpret the overall shape of the capitol, which was rather impressive. But it still really does need to be a custom model.
