July 16, 20205 yr I've had FSX-Se on my pc fpr a few years now, and it runs smoothly. Except one feature. When I press 'real word weathe'r, I get an error message. "An error occurred while downloading real world weather. Please check your internet connection, etc". I have no issues with my internet connection, so what's the deal? Eytan Ornstein

July 16, 20205 yr Administrators When I had my Sim computer I just hit OK, and it would put in whatever weather was locked in at the time all updates stopped. You will still get weather, but definitely not accurate. You alternative is what was already suggested. July 16, 20205 yr Author OK thanks. I use Active Sky now. Let's hope FS2020 will have a working real wx feature. Eytan
July 17, 20205 yr FSX's built-in real world weather was courtesy of an agreement between MicroSoft and Jeppesen. When the contract was up for renewal, it is my understanding that Jeppesen refused to renew the contract. With that, the built-in real world weather no longer worked. The upcoming MSFS will have a built in real world weather system and the videos and screen shots look stunning.
