February 18, 20206 yr Don’t know if it has been mentioned, but the official moderators of the MSFS forums have created a Discord server open to both the public and alpha testers to discuss the upcoming sim. As of now, not everything is visible to the public, but the general discussion is. The Lead Consumer Engagement Lead for MS is a member of the admins for the page. Just in case anyone may be curious. Promising sign that they may be ready to open up a bit more to the public, or maybe their forums will open up to the public as well once the website issues are fixed. https://discord.gg/r9mnDJ Cheers

February 18, 20206 yr If this is the official mods then this could be a sign that the insider forum will never go public before release. Raymond Fry.

February 18, 20206 yr I am NOT one, but it appears there is an area for Verification to discuss between the people in the Alpha on their Discord. Unless I read it wrong. Discord is really good on Mobile, way better than any forum, or at least to me. The Admins and Mods there are going to be very busy for awhile, as hundreds of people join each day! I think it is a great idea, just didn't think it would happen till after official release of FS2020 🙂 But for now, it is crazy on there! Even one of the Official ( looks like ) FS2020 Mods posted a link to the Mike ( X-Plane 11 ) guy that discusses flight controllers. I am guessing the Community Manager and his/her team has been hired for awhile now at MS/Asobo? If they are opening a public Discord channel! Once they add some more categories to split the discussions, it should be better. But, yes, you cannot beat Discord on mobile devices/tablets.

February 19, 20206 yr it is strange to have the (Official discord) page called MSFS 2020, while the official name as per MSobo is just MSFS (Microsoft Flight Simulator) Ali A. The name of the server even has ‘Semi-Official’ in the name. It’s run by some of the mods, but i guess it isn’t an officially sanctioned server? I dunno. Edited February 19, 20206 yr by Tuskin38

They just linked to a video talking about different joysticks and yokes that just happens to be focused on x-plane, but it can easily be applied for any flight sim. They aren't about to go through some external source, there's no way this is anywhere near official.
