I have a Samsung 40" 4K and love it. P3D is awesome and for spreadsheets / word / browsing it's great. There is a PC mode in the source selection that you set one time. I also switch it to a normal TV when I want to watch in my study. Great combo.

UN40MU6290 BTW on my desk I sit maybe 3 ft from the screen.

I'm currently looking at the Samsung Q60R 43"  Should I avoid since this doesn't support Gsync?  I have a 1080Ti.  So just trying to get everything right.

My BenQ doesn't have GSync and I don't notice any untoward effects. Maybe it's only relevant if you play games that demand high fps. The first thing I always look at is the user manual to see what frequencies it can support. It will support 30Hz which is good if that is important to you.

The native resolution - 3840*2160 @ 60Hz. You should always run at the native resolution otherwise the image is compromised.

I asked in my other thread about the Samsung Q60R.  But I was wondering if you or anybody knew how to do the simulated DSR 4k thing to see the performance impact on my system on 4k vs 1080p.  I selected 4.0 under global settings/dsr factors, but when I go into P3D I didn't see 4k as an option under resolution.  

You’ve got a 1080Ti. You don’t need to worry - honest. Mine runs around 50% utilisation at UHD. It’s got plenty of power in reserve.

Bbuckley.  Looks like our setup is fairly similar.  I'm about ready to buy the Q60R 43".  The only thing I'm wondering if i'm making a mistake not getting a monitor/tv with G-Sync?

I have a 55 4k HDR tv in my home theater room (along with a dolby atmos sound system 🙂 ) and for a week or two placed the tv on my desk for flight sim. What I noticed was it was just too big. What I did was scale it down to about 43" This was the sweet spot for something sitting on the desk in front of you. However in the end rather then buying a 43" version of my tv I just bought a 38" dell ultrawide. Best decision I ever made.
