January 23, 20188 yr I wonder if this is a sign they are not selling too well. I am not sure why anyone would buy one at their normal price when you buy a Rift for the same or less with far more content available. However for 220 dollars, they would be quite attractive.

Well, these things by all accounts are a lot more cheaply made than the Rift and vive, so they can afford to sell them at a lower price. For instance, they tend to use Led screens rather than the Oleds in the Vive and Rift. Plus, the lack of the need to include separate sensor base stations in the package likely cuts costs quite a bit as well. But it's mostly that these things tend to be fairly low quality lightweight, thin plastic etc. Even the packaging is cheap, whereas packaging and build quality on the Rift and Vive fairly screams "premium" We are all connected..... Early reports are that they don't work well at all, unfortunately. The samsung looked like a nice option, with the same resolution as the just announced Vive Pro. However, no native support in P3D at this time, fly-inside has encountered a bug that they're troubleshooting, but doesn't work at this time, and many other underwhelming reviews...
