Carenado Christmas Sale is On

Featured Replies

For me the Carenado Shrike worked quite well in XP11, but not perfect yet.

One problem I had was some erratic and fluctuating engines during a phase of the descent that lasted for around 1500' and corrected itself afterwards.

Another thing I couldn't get to work was braking by using keys only. (Sometimes I can't use the rudder pedals and have to use this method.) I assigned " hold brakes normal/ toggle b. max effort" to some keys, but nothing happens.

Btw. I observed similar issues with the Baron. So maybe it's a Carenado thing in XP11 or just me not operating it correctly, as I am new at XP.

Anyone having same problems?

Regards, Perry

Aside from a few glitches (parking brakes and landing gear door staying open which I read are LR issues), the only plane that I found to have issues in XP11 is the PC12 which catches on fire when starting!

Be careful to have a close look at which P3D versions are supported. When I did, I realized that there are actually extremely few planes on sale that are supported in P3D v3.

It's really too bad they're not getting the v3 installers out more quickly. I was going to buy the PC-12 before I realized there was no v3 installer, and I'd be concerned over taking the risk it won't work (though it might) so they've lost a sale...

I'm a big fan of Carenado's Cessna 337H, and I'm using this as a shameless plug for my Maintenance Pack for the Carenado C337H Skymaster

Of course this is not a very complex aircraft, but if you want something for a relaxed flight up to 1000NM, this might be something for you.

That used to be one of my favorites.  Now it's uninstalled.  Wish they'd update it and add a nav system that will work in P3D.  So many of their airplanes need a v2.

Oh, it does not work with P3D 3.x? (only P3D 2.5 is listed on their product page)

I think the aircraft itself works, but the airplane doesn't work with an external GNS anymore.  RealityXP is not a P3D option.  I could load it up for a bit of sightseeing, I guess.  These older planes could be rethought and reimagined.  Some of their better ones...the C337 (an AVSIM gold star winner), the B36, B58, F33, Piper Arrow, C210, Malibu Mirage.

Just a reminder:

PC Aviator has an additional 10% off on these planes today.  You may want to jump on it since the sale will be over before the next 10% off Tuesday.
