Does internet speed effect  FSX performance ? I'm not talking dial up.

No.

 

You can disconnect your computer from the internet and it would make no difference. 

The only thing i can think of that requires internet connection while running FSX is having the

 

weather update every 15 minutes if that is what you are using for your weather.

Also, if you are using SimTouch Plus 2 in conjunction with FSX, you need the internet connected for the moving aerial photo map component to work.
