I upgraded from a 30" 2560x1600 DELL monitor to a 50" 1080p plasma TV, then to a 65" Seiki 4K TV. To me there is no question that bigger is better. I sit very close to the screen, about 40" with TrackIR.

One caveat is that beyond 50" the 1080p resolution won't cut. So to enjoy even bigger screen a 4K screen becomes  a must.

The peripheral vision provided by 3x monitors must be nice too, I wonder anyone tried 3x 50" TV. These days 40'-50" HD TVs are not that expensive...

Big thing for me is the response time and refresh rate on TV's.. Most often far far slower than  good monitors. Even most 120hz and up TV's aren't truly 120 and 240hz when connected to a computer. You can get the better specs from TV's but you'll have to pay for it.  It all depends on what's important to you.

Hi

I have been running 3 40 inch Samsung's for s few years now and the results are quite good as long as your card can keep up

That's cool. Too bad I don't have the space in my shabby man cave to do three big TVs. Right now I'm happy to have the 4k Seiki, even though it only does 4K at 30Hz.
