Bravo Throttle Quadrant Support

Offical support subforum for the Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant

  1. Looking for answers hopefully...I had a MSFS CTD for unknown reasons and now I can't get my flaps button, gear lever, and some autopilot buttons to function at all.

  2. Bought my Bravo 22 months ago (should still have 2 months of warranty left), noticed a problem with it and contacted support. I originally bought from MyPilotStore like many others when the product was first released and in high demand. I finally got the following response today after 2 weeks from Honeycomb. The problem is last week after seeing confusing wording on HC's website I contacted "MPS" because I hadn't heard anything back from HC and got the below response. So apparently if you didn't buy direct, you have NO WARRANTY. This is illegal, I have submitted a BBB complaint about this as well. I'm never going to…

Hello, I have recently bought the HoneyComb Bravo Throttle. It is great but as I understand it is "tricky" to setup buttons using default control menu within the Simulator. I have noticed that you can "skip" this using external software, such as Spad.Next and Axis and Ohs. My question is which software is better, more user friendly? What I would like to achieve is: - Buy software - download ready presets for my aircrafts (PMDG 737, BAE-146, MD-82 and CRJ) - apply presets and fly without faffing around What would be my best choice in that case?

Hi all, just want to put my 2 cents out there and share my experience with some Bravo throttle addons. I have purchased from Flightsim Factory and his stuff is amazing!! https://www.etsy.com/shop/FlightSimFactory?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1387627649 I have the following sets: 737 MD80 777 A320 747 the new CRJ...love that one so much Anyways just thought I would share with my community for those interested. The craftmanship is superb and the price is right. Plus it really does not take too long for it to arrive at least for me in the USA. This person is in Canada. See ya Here are some of my parts th…

I just took delivery of a Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant and I'm having difficulty in the Flaps Switch operation. Here is the background. I have a fresh Windows 10 installation and a fresh installation of P3D v4.5. I installed all of my extras, ie: Orbx, UTL, RXP etc. I mounted my Bravo Quadrant and plugged it in. Windows 10 detected it and immediatly fetched drivers. I saw the notice box that it was recognized as Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant. I then went to Aerosoft/Honeycomb site and downloaded the software for MSFS/P3D. I tried using the software to set it up but it was confusing in that I couldn't tell if there was any acknowledgement of the control assignments. So, I gav…

  7. Actually 2 questions in one... First, what is "VVI"? Second, at the autopilot control buttons/knobs, how does one set them up so the function knob selection (Alt, VS, Hdg, etc) on the right can be adjusted with the "increase/decrease" knob on the left? Forgive my ignorance folks but I did make a real effort to hunt these answers down. Also, I've been unable to download the Honeycomb software for setting up their hardware so I've doing it all one item at the time. Thanks in Advance for the help.

Hi, just loaded my Honeycomb Bravo into my new Windows 11 pc and can't seem to install the Honeycomb software - go through install process and all looks good but program is nowhere to be seen. Also, with MSFS loaded the levers all work but the switches dont. My old Windows 10 PC did not have this issue. Going to the Honeycomb website it states that the software is compatible with Windows 10, but no mention of 11. Is anyone using Windows 11 able to get it to work? Thanks, Mike

  10. I've read in forums where the Honeycomb Throttle Quadrant is very hard to set up in MSFS 2020 almost to the point it's not worth it? I was thinking about buying one to go with my Honeycomb yoke but so many bad reviews(mostly set up problems) that I've read, I probably will stick with my CH quadrant. Some reviews said that you have to be a computer engineer to set the quadrant up with MSFS 2020. This seems to be a misrepresentation that the company says the quadrant sets up easily with MSFS 2020? Those who have this quadrant did you experience any problems setting it up with MSFS 2020? Thank you for any info that you may have on setting this quadrant up because I am still …

Can anyone point me to an idiots guide for the Honeycomb configurator v2.1. I have had the Honeycomb Alpha yoke for some time but never used a configurator relying on default settings and what I could set through FSUIPC. Now I recently acquired the Honeycomb Bravo throttle to go with the yoke. Getting the yoke and throttle set up in MSFS2020 was very straight forward. All the buttons and LEDS work as expected for all default and most 3rd party aircraft with only minimal further fiddling about. However this is not the case in P3D4/5. I downloaded the Honeycomb configurator tool for P3D hoping this would solve my problems but it is a nightmare of an app and the Video …

Hi, I noticed some time ago that boost number 2 creaks in reserve. It only happens with #2, the others are fine. I uploaded a youtube video to show what I mean. I bought Honeycomb Bravo exactly 1 year ago through Alternate. Do I need to RMA through Alternate or through Aerosoft? Also, I would be reluctant to send it away and wait several weeks for it. Anyone have experience of how long it takes? Or maybe I can solve the problem myself? If yes, what should I do? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2yO_lH57ZTU

  14. I just received my Bravo but can't get the software to install. It quits when it can't find X-Plane on my desktop. I have X-Plane on my D drive and it doesn't ask me where to find it. Is there something I am missing? I have no room for x-plane on my desktop. Thank you for any help. It seems like a previous version of this software asked where to find X-plane but this version I downloaded today just crashes after it can't find it.

  16. Hi, I have a CH yoke mounted to my desk which has a pullout keyboard. I'm thinking of getting a Honeycomb yoke and throttle setup but I want to make sure they will fit my desk. There is a 2 1/2 in. clearance from the bottom of the desk to the slide out keyboard desk. With the keyboard in place the CH Yoke mounting screws just clear the top of the keyboard with about 1 cm. but the keyboard moves freely when the keyboard shelf slides out. I understand the yoke and throttle come with stick on mounts as an option. I'm afraid if they are used they may be hard to remove or harm the surface. Any ideas? Thanks.

  17. I have been configuring the Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant for MSFS 2020. Everything is fine for piston single/twin, twin turbo prop. I tried to set up something for the default Airbus. When setting up the throttle axis, the check box has a white background and if I tick the box, the throttles behave opposite of the way that they should. Same with the flap/spoilers. Is there some kind of default setting that is overriding these or something? I have not been able to find anything. It is very odd since the props work as documented but the jets are backwards.

Is anyone else having the same problem. After the latest update (June 2022), two seconds after pressing “ready to fly” the plane freezes on the runway and the sim crashes. Does anyone know the solution for this?

Are there any updates available seems like more and more aircraft are coming out in MSFS and less and less things are working with both Honeycomb A and B. Such as the PMDG 737? On the Bravo no switches work and no lights on the AP. I found on YouTube the SPAD.Next had did some things to get everything working. I feel like as much as I paid for these it should be Honeycomb updating not a Third party??? If there is an update let me know. I'll change my post. Good Day Scooter

Hi, Grant (and your team), I reached out to you back in February 23rd (2022), I reached out to you about a non-functioning switch on my Bravo. This was logged as Request 7181 and, while I did get a quick answer about Microsoft not natively seeing the buttons numbered 33 and higher, I didn't get an immediate answer about my next steps, regarding the defective/problematic switch. On March 15th, I DID get a reply from you (Grant) and followed this up by sending the requested video of the switch problem. This was followed up an email on March 26th, requesting an update (as to when/whether I could send the quadrant in for repair); this was logged as Request 7761. …

  21. I have W10 and P3D V4.5 installed. I purchased the Alpha and Bravo last year. At the end of the year I ran into trouble with the Bravo. Two Boeing reversers for a twin jet on the Rz and Ry axis's (slots 3 and 4 from the left) stopped working. They worked on one flight, and the next, failed to work. The supplier here in New Zealand arranged for a replacement Bravo. The new one arrived early March. As much as I've tried, I can not get the Y axis (first on the left side) to work. I assign this axis for spoilers for the jets, and engine one throttle for twin turbo prop aircraft. When that axis is assigned I only have to move it 2 or 3 millimeters and it will go from …

I am about ready to setup my honeycomb alpha and bravo throttle quadrant in P3D v5.3. I have downloaded the driver and software from the honeycomb site. I have V2100 which I think is the most current. I have looked and some configuration videos and cannot see were the honeycomb software is to be loaded. My question is does the application get installed in the P3D directory, or on the same drive as P3D is installed or in the 😄 drive? Nothing I have seen really says were to install it. Thanks for the help. Dick

Hello I have been engaged in a running battle trying to get the Honeycomb Bravo to function properly in FS9. It may be of interest to have a look at my posts over at Flightsim.com, " Honeycomb Bravo inFS2004",which will give some idea of where I'm coming from. There have been nearly 1300 views which indicates a significant interest in the subject. A number of people have said that they are using the Bravo in FS2004 successfully however none have come forward and revealed precisely how this was accomplished. One of the issues I am unable to satisfactorily deal with is the effective stroke of the throttle, prop and mixture axis.I am using FSUIPC 3.99 (registered ve…
