Short of installing the GTN panels and using one of the awesome mods being worked on by the community, what have you done to overcome the current issues with the FA50? I really really really want to fly this thing more, but after 1.2 failed to address the following, I basically keep her in the hangar. 1. YD doesn't enable. 2. The waypoints in the MFD don't sequence properly. 3. Approach button won't activate for ILS landings. I'm sure there are a ton of other things that annoy you, but these three keep the bird out of the air for me.

Hi all: I thought it might be useful to add some positive comments to the forum on the Falcon. First I run FSX Gold boxed. 1. Of course the Falcon looks good, interior and exterior. Carenado has a knack for creating the VC models that result in a high degree of immersion. 2. Sounds are very good and also immersive. 3. The Falcon is solid as rock software stability wise. I have accumulated around 100 hrs since release and I have not had any kind of crash or OOM. 4. The ground handling is excellent and also very stable. Easy to look good while in taxi. 5. Hi All I have to be missing something but I'm just not certain what it is. I've got an initial cruise altitude of FL430. I dial in the baro, put in my FL + 1,000ft so in this case it's set to FL440 on the turn knob for the pressurization, I verify on the center console on the first officer side that it's locked into auto, but as soon as I go above FL400 (typically around there), my cabin alarm starts going off because the auto feature is no longer keeping cabin altitude. I manually have to change the rate knob to make the cabin decrease to stay around the 7,500ft cabin altitude range. The simple question... what am I doing wrong? I've watched some youtube video…

Hey! Is it any kind of PFPX template for the FA50EX? It is one for the normal FA50 but not totally okay, some fuel range issues and so on, not completely correct. The FA50 EX should fly New York-London without any issues regarding fuel, but it is not correct. So if it is anyone who has one the FA50EX please share it with the community! Rgds Kim

Evening all, I have been flying the FA50 now for a few flights, however from flight number 18 onward, the VNAV has stopped working on STARs only. The VNAV works fine when flying SIDs however on arrival, the aircraft does not decend with the VNAV. I have tried to resent the autopilot in flight and nothing happens. I have reloaded Navigraph and no luck there. I had a hunch it was due to using FLCH or VS modes for the climbs etc however I tried a flight without touching the other modes and when it came to the STARs the aircraft would not descend in VNAV mode. I half expected this from Carenado, but the auto/inhibit function in the FMS doesn't work. Sometimes the waypoints will auto switch to the next one and other times the FMS is locked in inhibit and I have to manually switch to the next waypoint. Anyone have suggestions or did they drop the ball on this?

Hi all: Just a quick question, probably a quick answer will do it. 🙂 I use the IAS constantly in climb out and it works fine. However my question is on the transition from IAS to Mach. There is a knob low on the pilot's panel which can be used to change the left PFD marked speed from IAS to Mach. And there is a Mach Hold button next to the throttle synch button on the center panel. I formed the opinion that the knob and Mach Hold button could be used to switch the hold speed to Mach, and then to make adjustments. However, It doesn't seem to work that way. I cannot find any way that causes the AP to hold Mach during climb. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. …

Not sure the issues everyone seems to be having. I have v1.2. Installed fine in P3D. Plane flys like a Carenado only better. AP seems to work well. Latest AIRAC in the ProLine. Holds ALT, HDG, VNAV and LNAV. Even descends in VNAV on cue. I don't mind it so far. I did YYZ to YUL DEDKI4 MIGLO HAABS4 and it flew perfectly. ILS was great too. One gripe: The map mode switches and zoom levels are all messed up and need to be learned. Does anybody have any insight to the ND knob functions? Maybe I'm doing something wrong? EDIT: Actually...lol...seems the gauge and button lighting doesn't seem to work? I'm in the black textured version maybe that's it? On…

DOES ANYONE HAVE PROB'S WITH THIS PLANE On install get error " INVALAD FILE HANDEL" ........e-mailed Caranado on this but no response when opening plane , yoke will not open at all ( no movement ) / the top left tool bar incons in sim are black/ the VIEW automatically rotate from inside plane to several view outside plane , on its own ? I get a, "Error Code 404 Serial Number not valid." every time I try to load the aircraft. I tried manually typing my email address and the serial number as well as cut and paste from Carenado account page and from a text document. Submitted ticket, no response in the last week.

I am thinking to buy the Coronado 50ex Can anyone tell me if I can fly the plane using the Prepar flight plan set up and the ATC as I do with the Mooney Acclaim with g1000 Since I don't know too much, I found that creating a flight plan with PREPAR , following the ATC commands using the AP for ALT,VS and SP and then setting up the ILS frq. and Course for for and ILS approach ( NAV for LOCALIZER and APPR for GS) works good for me . so the question is can I do the same with the Falcon 50 EX ?? then I will be able to start flying the plane and then take my time to get deeper on the nav systems. So being a big Dassault guy both in the sim world and professionally I could not pass on the 50EX. This morning I finally installed it and decided to take it on a test flight from K/HOU to K/TEB to take advantage of the stage length to see how the airplane flies as well as the good weather variety (rain and low visibility in Houston, Texas, strong west to east winds touching almost 170 knots in the flight levels and the snow and visibility in Teterboro right now. I've done a couple of test flights with the Falcon, and overall I'm pretty happy with it. One thing I noticed about the Proline was regarding the Perf page (fuel management) . For fuel usage, It only showed fuel burn for two engines and the apu. Based on my flight plan and fuel burn, the engines, it was showing fuel burn for was engines 1 and 3. No fuel usage was listed for engine 2. However on the main panel, it does correctly show the fuel burn for all three engines, which also cross checks with the fuel manager in the sim. Hi All: I made my first hop today with the Falcon and generally all went well with one exception. I loaded in the flight plan without issue in the CDU and I at least thought it was in order but when I tried to transition from AP/HDG/V/S climb to LNAV, I could not convince the A/P to transition from HDG to NAV. After maneuvering so that I was on the desired track line on HDG, pushing the NAV button rendered no change except the HDG light in the PFD extinguished but a "NAV" or "GPS" light did not appear. So the A/P did not transition to LNAV. Could someone please suggest how I should procede? I read through the short Proline manual with the install and I'm pretty sure …
