I found a couple of freeware Cesna citations both by the same developer. The first one was kind of a bear to try to fly but, the second one was a pretty well behaved little airplane. It's called a "Citation Excel". It's not perfectly modeled nor is everything that you might want all that functional but, it's still fun to fly! One has to be very mindful of the throttle! Even though you've got it standing on its tail, headed for outer space, you can still get to an overspeed situation. Level flight at 250 knots only needs about 55 - 60%! Landings are fairly easy and you CAN use the autopilot to fly an orderly ILS approach. However, use of the "GPS" that is inc…

Is there any way I can contact them? I've been working on a small personal project to translate most of the stuff in the PT Tu-154B virtual cockpit into English and I wanted to ask them if I can upload the textures online when I'm done, but I can't seem to figure out where to go to ask them this. I already tried their email they have posted on the Project Tupolev home page ("[email protected]"), but it failed to send.

Anyone looking for some small detailed airports to do some short VFR hops? I have completed several that were made from lots of on site photos so all the airport objects are exact replicas of the real hangers, FBOs, etc. They are all within 30 or so minutes of each other so you dont have to fly for a long time. Released so far: KPAH, M25, 5M9 and 2M0. In progress M34 Coming soon. 1M7 5KY More...... You can find them on Avsim, and they are all free. P3D only.

Not sure if this belongs in the PMDG section or in here Thinking about putting the Simufly CIVA INS in the PMDG DC-6 since the GPS makes life too easy, and choosing to fly radials is not something you do when you want to make life easy. (Although, one could argue that if I don't want easy then I should just fly VOR-to-VOR) I wanted to know whether this would be possible in the DC-6, though, since the autopilot (laterally) follows either the turn knob or a radio beacon, and the Simufly CIVA INS unit typically works only when the autopilot is set to HDG mode. There are a few notable exceptions, but I'm pretty sure those planes were designed with INS integration pl…

So I only recently found out about the centre fuel tank option on the real A330: The -200 has been using it since first flight, but only in the last few years (5?) has the -300 had the option to make it wet. How easy would it be to update the config to reflect this option? I had set up an Air Caraibes -300 flight from Orly to Guadeloupe and online flight planner gave the fuel as more or less maximum - I'd actually misread the trip fuel as 177161 not 117716 lbs! Thinking that no way would they allow the trip with no reserve capacity triggered my investigation. I could just paste the extra fuel tank line from the -200 to the -300 config but its longitudinal posi…

Hi! I Googled for solutions but neither of the two that were suggested worked (I've tried setting my default flight to a cold and dark trike and turning off the ELACS2 switch during takeoff). Anyone else found another solution?

Hi guys, so I've been getting into trying to configure UT Live and adding realistic liveries. Where is the best place to find AI models? I've downloaded everything from fsaibureau. Starting to play with AIG, but I see very limited models there. I've purchased the few payware models from simmarket. I guess most of the jumbos are covered with those....but where would one find props and general aviation aircraft? I've tried a search here but it seems like its mostly repaints unless I am not searching correctly. Thanks Jason

Since I haven't found anything comparable, I've created a small tool for looking up call signs. The program uses the ICAO airline designator and resolutes it to the name of the airline and the voice call sign used for ATC communications. It currently features 998 airlines. Might be handy for air traffic controllers on Vatsim, IVAO or other networks http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=188395 The program requires NET 4.5. If you have any wishes for further functions or missing airlines, just post it here.

Hello everyone, I am looking for the best freeware version of an MD-80 or DC9-50 that is available for download. I currently do not have either of those aircraft. If it is in the avsim library can you please point me to the destination of that download. I have seen plenty of freeware repaint downloads available but none of the actual aircraft. I would like to have one that has a fully functional 2-d and 3-d panel with accurate flight details and sound. I am running windows 10 FSXSE. Thanks in advance!

I recently downloaded and installed Felis' Antonov AN-24RV and since then I am trying to get the hang out of its systems. https://www.avsimrus.com/f/fsx-aircrafts-79/an-24rv-dlya-fsx-60784.html At Sim Outhouse they have an english cockpit translation available: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/103846-New-FSX-Native-Complex-Aircraft-Antonov-An-24RV unfortunately new users are not allowed to post over there, which is why I do it here: - Does anyone know how to get the autopilot to work? It doesnt seem to change anything when being activated. - Is trimming working for you? - How to make the GPU truck disappear once I used it? …

I've downloaded the Iceland Airports and Scenery by Dan French from the Avsim library. According to the instructions, the package depends on several other creations. I've managed to find all of them except the FSX_LTS.ZIP Lights library by Jim Dhaenens. I've tried to sign in over at flightsim.com (the site recommended in the instructions text) on both my computer and phone but their site seems to be having issues the past couple of days. I've scoured the Avsim library and the rest of the internet but I can't find this one pesky file anywhere. Any ideas where I might be able to find this?

I downloaded the large Project Airbus A318/19/20/21 multi-livery pack (I think off Rikooo or somewhere), and it seems to have just one thing wrong with it: When flying an ILS (but, so far it seems, ONLY when flying an ILS!), the HSI needle deflects in the wrong direction! Is there a fix for this other than manually turning the OBS 180 degrees from where it should be every time I start to fly an ILS?

Hello, You might remember a tool i wrote a long time ago whose objective was to monitor VAS usage during a simulator session (FSX/P3D). The original FSMem, although featuring memory usage warnings and selectable memory thresholds for these warnings, lacked one feature that i consider the most important: - Memory logging. With this in mind and once i had a couple of days free, i coded a new application from scratch to do just that. FSMem2 now displays a graphic of either used or free memory, constantly displays free and available memory and, most importantly, logs and exports memory usage data. You can then use the logs to better understand when, how, w…

There's a freeware Cessna 195 available which does look pretty good visually. There's an issue with the VC, but externally it looks great. Here's the VC:- Here's the shiny Cessna. https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/5028/fsx-cessna-195-shakey-jake/ Now I've had opinions that the Flysimware payware 195 doesn't feel right to fly or land even for a taildragger :p Does this freeware example fly any better? I can land it without making a mess... Cheers.

Hi everybody :) After his first addon, LFMD Cannes Mandelieu, LMT simulation offers you this time, with LFNF, Vinon-sur-Verdon, the first platform of a large series dedicated to the airfields in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur french region. The airfield of Vinon-sur-Verdon, located inside the "Provence" french région, is home to numerous associations dedicated to different aeronautical activities: It's a starting point for flights in the sky of Provence (south of France), or towards the Northern or Southern Alps. - Touristic flights. - Piloting school (private pilot licence, mountain and night flight certifications...). - training in competition for s…

Noticed this is freeware in the AVSIM library. Bought it 5 years ago on SimMarket (where I posted a review) and have had a few conversations with the developer. This is a great program to run on a networked computer with WIDE FS. Google Earth can be presented at any altitude you want and the Google Earth view angle can be changed. It's a lot of fund to watch your aircraft symbol fly over actual terrain, especially mountains. Sometimes I don't run it because I start looking at it more than the terrain in the flight sim. Works with FSX, Steam and all versions of P3. Thanks much to the developer Lennart Vedin.
