Hello Lorby, thanks for the tool you have provided for free for the flight sim community. Been in the flight sim arena for a long time but just recently switched to P3D and started with v4, and realize that there are few of the main airports that I used outdated. I will use John Manley KORD (P3Dv4 compatible) from avsim as an example to see if I have this thing right. Don't want to screw P3Dv4 file structure as right now the only thing I have is v4 add on compatible. This file contains the Addon Scenery which contains \Scenery \Texture and \Global files. I have created a directory on my drive called E:\Addon Free Sceneries\ and that is what I intend to use f…

Hi, I have been using P3DV4 AddOn Manager recently and have hit a problem. The thing is I don't know whether the fault is with the way I structured my custom add-on.xml file or with Addon Manager where I used the "Check Encoding Errors" (I suspect the former). I am using the add-on.xml to point to the folder where I have the default 737/747/etc from FSX. The problem is that if this add-on.xml is "installed" then I cannot see the pop-up menus from ProATC/x and GSX (or even the default ATC!). I spent quite a bit of time trying to track down the problem but in the end had to go for an uninstall/reinstall of P3Dv4.1. The way I found out the problem was with the add-on.xm…

Hello @ll, Lorby Live Traffic has been updated: - It can now make use of the RealTraffic app (by Inside Systems) as a datasource - The new models from Ultimate Traffic Live have been added as an additional database The LLTX app is still freeware, available on the Lorby-SI website, section DOWNLOADS. Hello, I just installed Addon Organizer v1.24 and when I click on export library to scenery.cfg I get an unhandled exception. After that, all scenery entries are removed from my scenery.cfg. I am using Prepar3D v4.1. p3d, installation, and addon organizer all run as admin. Tried multiple re-installs without luck. All previous version worked well. Thanks for Addon Organizer. I have my little design question: some add-ons install their effects in the root Prepar3D v4\Effects folder, but naturally I'm trying to keep all add-on files outside of Prepar3D v4 when possible. How do I better go about it in my particular case? My idea is by using your program to create MyBaseEffects Component pointing to MyBaseEffects folder placed elsewhere. When I find that an add-on requires to install effects in Prepar3D v4\Effects folder I'll just drop these files in that MyBaseEffects folder instead. The only discomfort that I feel with this design is that those add-on effect files would be somewhat detached from their original a…

Hello @ll, Version 1.22 of the AddonOrganizer brings back a few functions, that were lost in a harddisk crash a few weeks back - Selected node is kept in view when changing scenery order - List of addon-xml configs is sorted alphabetically - Duplicate entries in the addon-xml list removed when transferring scenery between cfg and xml Best regards

It seems that UTLive is changing the encoding or something with characters. Could someone paste what the add-on xml should look like for the latest v.30. I change encoding to say utf16 and Lorby says everything ok. The next time I reboot or load P3dv4.1 and UTLive, I check encoding and the error message pops up again. in Lorby's .unless something is screwy in another folder..program data or wherever. Hello @ll, due to many requests and questions about the workings of ORBXs FTX Central combined with add-on.xml files, a new feature has been added to the P4AO. You can now move multiple scenery entries to an add-on.xml file or back to the scenery.cfg by using the "Multi-Select" option and the right-click context menu. Additionally a new button has been implemented that will "Remove duplicates", meaning that it will remove all entries from the scenery.cfg that are also present as an add-on.xml definition. With these two features combined you can move all ORBX scenery.cfg entries to an add-on.xml file in one go. When you use FTX Central the next time, it will rei…

Many thanks to Lorby for this great tool very useful for P3D4 I have installed several addons (planes or sceneries) without difficulty, except that when the scenery contains files to be placed in scenery / world or scenery / global I do not understand the method to insert them. Lorby has been a Godsend for getting things moved to P3D V4 (thank you). But is Lorby putting things in as xml? When I go to the FTX Central ... none of my addons are showing there, so I cannot use the insertion tool. Also all of my addons are "grayed out" in the P3D Scenery Library, meaning I cannot edit them or move them, etc. If it is going in as xml, causing the above problems. What will happen if I uninstall Lorby. With the Prepar3d.cfg and scenery.cfg still be intact? Doug/RTMM

Hi.. Here's my problem. I have uninstalled these sceneries: FSDreamteam-KORD,KCLT,JFKV2 etc and removed utlive and Sode. The reason is because your program found incorrect characters in the xmls. Apparently FSDreamteam as well as others are adding their scenery in the Documents/P3dv4 add ons and not in the scenery cfg file any longer. I am trying to use Voxatc and apparently this is causing problems and it can't index. What is the best way to install these addons so it will be right? I noticed when I installed FSDreamteam etc that they are at the top of the scenery library locked and cannot be moved.Hope I am making sense. So I guess now no new scenery are being add…

Does anyone know if a programming facility exists to control the distance at which airports load into the P3D? Is there a LOD parameter specific to airport scenery? For example, it seems that no matter the setting I try in P3D, airports (3rd party) load into the sim at about 15 nm or so. Sometimes, especially in other than ideal visibility, it would help for the hires airport scenery to load further out. Steven

I'm a huge fan of AITX and Lorby radar. I had the system working well in P3D V3 with Oculus Rift and had the radar screen embedded in the VC. I've just decided to migrate to P3D V4.1 now that FlyInside has been upgraded for VR. On first look, the radar screen is not showing up in cockpit. It may be a simple fix and not had had time to dig deeper yet. Has anyone successfully migrated and, if so, any tips or issues to flag up?

Hello, firstly, many thanks for this great tool, couldn't manage without! I was wondering if you could consider two features: a) (De-)Activation of multiple sceneries at once. I would like to have only the relevant airfields activated, but for makerwy, all the sceneries have to be active. This function would make this possible more easily. b) Context menu: It would be great if in the Windows Explorer one could right-click on a folder containing scenery and texture sub-folders, select "PAO: Add as scenery" and that would bring up the according mask, with the path already filled in. Hello @ll, new versions of the ThumbnailExporter X and the P4AO are available on the Lorby-SI website. ThumbnailExporter X 1.15: This is a major step forward for this application. It will automatically detect all simulators that are installed on your computer, acquire all configured SimObjects paths and build a full report for everything that the simulator itself can "see". You no longer have to know where the SimObjects paths are (but you can still use the manual method too). The app works with FSX, FSX:SE, FSW and all versions of P3D. I know the tool has the ability to import into a scenery.cfg file which is great.. but i was doing more experimenting and wanted to get all my scenery.cfg entries into add-on xml files and folders at once if possible.. its a bit tedious to go through hundreds, one by one giving names hitting the button :) Is there any easy way to do this? When I use the addon organizer it shows Mytaffic 6 ( layer 128) above global, generic & vehicle Libraries and My TrafficScenery at layer 120 ? In P3d V4 library and In SceneryConfig editor 1.1.8, it only shows MyTraffic6 above global, generic & vehicle Libr. Why there is two My traffic in addon organizer ? Thanks

Hello Oliver, First thank you for your tool and the support you're providing for it. To be honest I'm still confused regarding scenery installation using the xml method. Since P3D V3 I have all my add-ons installed outside P3D. Actually most of them are installed into FSX and I simply add them through P3D scenery library indicating the FSX path and then copying to P3D the files that need to go to World\scenery or to the effects folder. This method works fine for me with P3D V4 and comply with the recommendation of leaving add-ons files outside the main folder of the sim.
