East bound over Papua New Guinea with the sun at my six. Beautiful weather - "Active Sky Next" on - with some storm clouds in front of me. Around thirty miles to my destination at Aiome. Autopilot on. Looking at charts, and info on the Aimoe airstrip for best approach. VOR needle started it's slow swing to line me up with runway 19. At ten miles started slow decent, flaps, gear down. Time to disengage the autopilot. Having trouble finding the autopilot panel in the dark. The Autopilot on off switch was not only hard to find but getting that index finger to land on it was another challenge. Solved the lighting problem by holding a mini flashlight with my teeth. . All this …

Hi all, Huge fan of the Aero Commander and just saw it for sale. Downloaded today and installed to FSX, P3Dv2 and P3Dv3. In all sims when I select the Commander it is not running. While trying to figure out the start sequence I get the "End Flight" box that pops up. This is in all 3 sims. I can click on "continue flying" but it pops back up after another 8- 10 seconds. No other aircraft in my sims behaves this way. Any ideas? Thanks Rob

Hi When I manipulate the cowl flap switches, I see no fluctuation in engine temperatures. Nor can I actually see any cowl flaps moving. Are the switches just for show ? or should they be functional?

Flying at 8,000ft no wind and the airspeed gauge indicates168knts, and the Ground Speed on the GTN 750 indicates 188knts, shouldn't those two be the same given there was no wind? Anybody else see this? Also I bumped up the power_scalar from 1.0 to 1.3 but I don't think that should make a difference in the two readings? Thanks Martin

Seems that the transponder is missing 0 and 9, can't set to 1200? Also the cowl flaps seems to close when you move it to open and open when moved to close? The EGT readings seems odd when you try to lean the engines, they jump all over the place? Other than those little things, I'm enjoying flying her  Cheers Martin

I'm having difficulty in having the A/P track the GTN. Now, I spent my life working autopilot systems on military aircraft and big jets but this is the hokiest thing I have ever expereinced. I read the manual (more like a pamphlet) about it, I know the two left switch positions on the white rotary knob do the same thing. I know Roll has to be engaged first but it always seems to drift. Does that Autopilot Turn knob actually do anything in the sim or is it just for looks ala most of Carenado's offerings. I know it's a far cry from an A2A but since they don't make a Shrike this will have to do. Also, I'm making a long distance flight as I type this and I'm at 14K f…

Is there any way someone could do a repaint of the interior and make it look brand new? I'd be tempted to pay someone to do this.

I am reading through the checklist step by step and I cannot seem to get the engines started from cold and dark. For starters the startup procedures mention the following: Mixture control - IDLE CUTOFF. Fuel shutoff switch - OPEN Fuel boost pump switch - ON Fuel pressure - 20 to 26 psi With mixture set to idle cutoff there is no way that you will get fuel pressure. Even with the mixture control to Full I cannot get the engines to start without using the Ready to Taxi button. I really like the plane other than a couple of small things. The transponder not having "0" is another goofy one. I wish they would allow the Mindstar Aviation GNS530 to be used as well. …

Anybody else see these things? I don't want to submit a ticket if I'm wrong about these 2... 1: Take a closeup shot of the airspeed indicator and then compare the indicated markings for single engine climb, stall speeds for both flaps down/up compared to the white and green arc to the speeds listed in the documentation. Am I missing something or are they not even close? 2: What exactly are pages 6-9 in the emergency procedures guide about? They seem like something from the normal autopilot operation to me.
